People say that but teams end up taking BPA at a position of need.

If the value isn't there at a position of need they usually trade up or down.

point was, if you are just gonna 'tweak' the OL, you may as well also get more CBs because thay are both a waste of time and resources

this OL does not need a 'tweak' it needs an overhaul

I know that...After watching a Seahawks safety make a great play, I needed to whine about the safety slop Jerry Jones has fed us the last 15 years.

I have lost faith in the organization to overhaul the off line by now, it probably will not happen. I agree, we need 3-4 new guys on that line but not lower round draftees expecting to be pro-bowlers right off the bat.

By tweak, I mean get a good one via FA and draft another within the first two rounds. Costa should be ok at center if he stays healthy, I hope. The rest of the picks and FA should be concentrated on the def line and a safety.

I want to see a dominant defense because evidently the offense is not going to click until we get a new play-caller.
Everyone has a plan, until they get hit.

I would say use the money it would cost to keep Spencer to draft a high paid free agent, either a tackle or a guard. I would say Levitre or Jake Long. I would even consider moving Smith back to RT if you get a guy like Long. Then also draft an O-lineman in the 1st round.

So either big time FA tackle and 1st round pick guard, or FA guard and 1st round tackle.

Rick Gosselin said it best in his column in yesterday's Dallas Morning News:

"Until Jerry fixes the offensive line, this franchise will not get fixed."

Do you have someone at the QB position that's better than Romo? If Romo's not the QB, do the Cowboys even win 8 games in the season that just ended? I say no. This team MAYBE wins 5 games, if that many.
