So, a special teams coach leaves one team and uproots his family to go to another team in the same role?

A lateral move.

Interesting.

I know that DeCamillis is friends with the current Bears GM but I still find the lateral move interesting to say the least.

I do too. I sincerely doubt that the Bears are paying that much more than Jerry. They're notoriously cheap.

People can gloss over this all they want.

But I see one of the main coaches on this team jump ship for a lateral move a week after the DC was fired over the phone, and I see trouble.

He was trying to leave last year too for a lateral move to Oakland but the team blocked him.

Guy just wanted out.

Guys, think neck injury.

That played a part in his desire to leave.

What would his neck injury have to do with his desire to leave?

Maybe he doesn't like how things played out since then. Does it matter why really? He's gone and we're looking for a new ST Coach. I have already postulated who I think it will be and I am anxious to see if I am right.

Basically.

Although, IIRC, is Hoffman the one who was always able to find a kicker? I actually liked that guy

Bobby April isn't young. He's around 60 I think. He was here at Arizona and gone before I moved here and that was 24 years ago.
