It's all over ESPN. Not sure what's going on, but figured someone in here had listened to the story from beginning to end.
Very weird, and sad if true.

They don't delete stories in order to pretend they never wrote them. Ethically speaking, you are obligated to delete stories you know aren't true. If people look at a a google cache, then so be it, but at least you're not still reporting a falsehood.

Listening to replays of the "interview" where he talks about 4 months of being on the phone all night with his GF clarifies at least one thing - he does not appear to be very bright.

Yep, the powers that be were so anxious for Notre Dame to be relevant again that when they got closer than they had over the past 20+ years, they gave them a little push (and then some) to get them up to the top.

It became obvious in the Bama game that they did not belong there.

Nor did Te'O belong in New York for the Heisman. If he played for any other school he would not have been. I think he was 54th in tackles in the nation this year.
