4-3 or 3-4, they still need a stud d-lineman and a better-than-average safety. Then I will like whatever defense they throw out there this fall.
Garrett to players: Make today a great day; go about the business of winning! If you can't keep up then don't step up.

The integrity of the Dallas Sports Media can be summed up in this quote 'I've gotta be the bad guy on CBS11 and my radio job on ESPN. I don't have to be the bad guy here.' - Steve Dennis

I don't ever recall Melton being regarded as soft. I have heard the rumors about Texas and the whole "Soft" thing but I don't really buy into it much. Definitely not about Melton.

Lovie won't come here to be a position coach under Garrett. He also won't be interested in sharing a title with Monte. All that would do is muddy the water IMO. I don't think Smith would do that.
If you were Smith, would you do it?
In a year, things might be different and he might be a HC somewhere. Maybe here, who knows?

Impossible, no coach wants to come here. It's true, I read it here yesterday.

You'd still have to think he'd prefer a DC job over being a position coach, so I wouldn't bet on this happening.

Yeah, I can see the fit, from our perspective.
But to go from DC to DL coach is in every way a demotion and I just don't see why he would want to come here.

Chicago Beat Reporter says Marinelli would prefer a "fresh start" somewhere else over staying with the Bears.

If he came here, he'd probably be running most of the defense with kiffin. Just wouldn't have the title. If you promise him the coordinator job when monte goes then it really could work to his benefit and ours

I've heard San Diego and Celevland are interested in him as a DC. I see no reason for him to downgrade to a positional coach either. We'll see.
