Kiffin-marinelli-Barry-Henderson is a good group.

I wonder if they keep the quality control coaches.
I'm guessing Scottie Hazelton is the quality control coach, since it was rumored he was already hired by Kiffin. It's a pretty nice foot in the door job for the NFL. Several former Kiffin quality control coaches around the NFL in high places.

It will be nice having them at the east/west game to get a look at the defensive players in this draft and how they see these prospects fitting into their defensive scheme

Replacing Ben Bloom? Makes sense.

Nope. Not at all. We were following Bill Parcells, who had ALWAYS been a 3-4 guy.

DallasCowboys.com has a Broddaus video about Hatcher. It shows Hatching playing the 3 techique this past year and being very disruptive. He's not Warren Sapp but he can probably do very well at that position. I think we have the makings of a good 4-3 defensive line if someone like Crawford can play strong side end (assuming Spencer is gone). We can always use more good dlinemen but we don't have to get someone to start day one.
I read that Ratliff would be a 3 tech or a 1 tech from different sources.

I won't credit myself with anything more than a layman's eye for understanding what Ratliff's position would be, but to me he looks much more like a 3 technique (at least a healthy Ratliff would).

In fact in all the years he was playing NT, it seemed that he would really shine as a 3 tech in a 4-3. 1tech? I just don't see it. I must be missing something.

Look who he first worked for here... I'm sure that's why he's so juiced in.

He's good, though. Much better than Broaddus was IMO. He gets into the details far better and really knows his stuff.
