Honestly, when Parcells was here, you never heard anything about the team or what was going on unless he wanted you to hear it. That's why all of the writers hated him so much.
The Cowboys, IMO, have been way to public about what their plans may be for far too long. Heck, the NFL has gotten to the point where they make you share all kinds of info through interviews etc.
Spoiled is what I would say but nobody really cares what I would say so I'll just move along.

Agree completely regarding the need for JJ's need to share his plans with the world. I get the impression that other teams can predict Jerry's moves well in advance. His need to make a splash on draft day and his open admiration of other players (See RoyWilliams WR) seem to lead to overpay for players. To his credit, he has found some talent (Romo, Austin), but is that by design or default? Sometimes, I wish Jerry would approach the off-season plans with a little less noise and have a bigger focus on making REAL change with a focus on results rather than noise.
I will give the guy his due regarding some of the draft picks, (Lee, Carter, Murray) but there are just so many misses that we wind up back where we don't belong.
The Truth will STILL not be the first casualty of war

If you look at the past couple of drafts, they have been productive. (You left out Bryant, Smith, and Harris) I'm hoping the trend continues.

My first thought, exactly.
God, JJT is bad at his job. That entire article is just speculation. And not even smart speculation.
When asked whether Jason Garrett is the right head coach for this team: "I don't think there is anyone else that could. I think he is an unbelievable coach. We've responded to him and he has made us better football players, better people. If you watch us I think we play with a certain relentless spirit." --Sean Lee

Why does Jerry Jones need to explain anything? If he wants to change the franchise, he'll change it. It's his family bidness, so he can do what he wants.
Do you think the owner of the corner deli needs to explain why he changed the sign on the front, or why he fired the counter guy? No, it's his bidness ... so mind yours.
If you don't like the way the franchise is run, then go find another team to root for. The team belongs to the Jones family and they can do as they please. Nothing you can do to change that ... so why bother?
He's the greatest owner in sports history. We're very lucky to have him. Look at the Super Bowl trophies he's brought to us.
He just wants to win.

It's not that hard to rationalize this: - We have LB's on the roster who can play the 4-3.
- We have DT's on the roster who can play the 4-3.
- What we don't have is a young NT with Brent now gone to play the 3-4
- We might lose the OLB who plays the 3-4 but if we could somehow manage to keep him he's your LDE in the 4-3.
- It's easier to find a DE than a NT.
- We need to get faster on Defense to defend the new trend of fast QB's
"I could've done a $2 billion takeover (in another industry) with the capital I put in the Dallas Cowboys," he says. "I really could see (myself as) the idiot who had something real good, who blew it all to coach the Cowboys. I just knew that was going to be my legacy." Jerry Jones 9/14/2012

I'm like you, 3-4, or 4-3, or 3-3-5, .. pick one and let's get it on.
Is it too much to ask to want a defense that people talk about, and other teams respect.
Defenses like the Ravens and steelers have had in the past make a difference each and every game. Maybe they aren't always dominant, but they make plays, they create turnovers, .. they attack offenses.
Can we just be confident and aggresive on defense, instead of only sticking fingers in the dike and trying to slow them down, or just trying not give up the 'big play' ?
Let's be known for having a physical, tough, hard-nosed, smash-mouth defense. Then the offense does not have to score 25+ points a game for us to win.

And who better than Kiffen and Marinelli? Props to JJ! Epic fail JJT!

Two guys had the most intertest in Tony Romo: Sean Payton and Mike Shanahan.
So Payton "found" him for the Cowboys.

The sooner, the better.
Once the answer is revealed, we'll know if a sliver of hope remains for the NFL's most dysfunctional franchise or whether this franchise is doomed to be mired in the muck of mediocrity forever.
And it's a bigger question than just whether Jerry Jones or Jason Garrett made the decision.

....obvious but great: all those picks you mentioned could've been spent on Oline or Dline, where they should have. Then again, a "GM" has to know what the heck he's DOING to take interior linemen that high: JJ simply doesn't have a clue what he's doing.
