Default 8 hour diet

Hey guys,

I'm going to study abroad in Sevilla, Spain for the spring semester, I leave tomorrow. I've been doing low carb/high protein for a couple of years now as I lift a lot and I had put on some weight after football ended in high school. But now I'm heading over there to a homestay where food will be provided for me so I don't have much choice in what I eat. I did some research as far as my options because I know that if you get off of it you put all the weight back on plus some and my nightmare is to blow up while I'm over there.

I stumbled across the 8 hour diet. It seems like its a solid, doable option but I just don't know how legitimate it is. Does anyone have any experience/input? Or honestly any other suggestions for how to stay in the shape (aka not put on any weight) I'm in now even if I incorporate carbs back into my diet semi consistently? Keep in mind I already got a gym membership so continued exercise will not be an issue. Thanks a lot for any help!!

Just try to count calories and continue working out.

You can get an app for most smart phones (well apple and android) called MyfitnessPal where you can keep track of your calories, exercise, water intake and so on.

I guess I'm the only one that thinks the "8-hour diet" is a misnomer since you are actually not eating for 16 hours. It should be called the "16-hour diet".

Well you are dieting for those 8 hours...you are fasting for the other 16...so with your logic it should be called the 16 hour fast.
