West Coast now?
So are we moving to a west coast system now that Callahan is calling the plays. I hope we are. Romo, Written, and Dez would be great in a west coast offense.

No, Dallas will stay with their system. They might use a little WCO but i think it would set this team back again. Dez bryant having to learn the WCO would set the team back a couple yrs

How in the world did you come to this conclusion? Because Dez took a couple of years to develop and come into his own? Because that NEVER happens, right?
He gets paid to play a football game, he can learn the whole 5 routes you need to learn in the WCO.

Holding my breath on contract talks. Hopefully we can get something done.

There is a difference in designing the plays and calling the plays. It is still Garrett's offensive scheme and Callahan is just calling out the plays that Garrett has designed.

Because Dez isnt very book smart. They've simplified alot for him. The guy runs like 3-4 routes. And he does them better then 98% of the wrs in the nfl. But you're fooling yourself if you think he understands the playbook.

Uh, no he doesn't only run 3-4 routes.

We already were using some west coast elements anyway.
The only changes we might see are more crossing routes and fewer deep outs.
We need a 2nd RB with receiver skills though.

Other than Romo and maybe Witten, who does understand the receiver route part of the "playbook" that is largely based on adjusting to circumstances rather than preconceived routes?
For all years that Romo has to direct the plays season after season, he should be granted a lifetime achievement Tony award.
It's a message board, that's what the topics are for.
What I don't understand...insistence...disdain...It's one thing to feel that way, and to say so. Why try to make other people agree with you....And why pretend...Disagree with me all you like...Don't start twisting mine or getting frustrated just because I don't want to eat the other half of that crap-sandwich you made for yourself...Because I don't happen to like crap sandwiches.

I've heard that the playbook will remain the same, but Callahan will be using it to call plays.

I highly doubt we're changing the offense because Callahan is taking over as offensive play caller.
At the very most there might be some west coast wrinkles incorporated, but definitely nothing drastic. No one should expect us to start running plays right out of Bill Walsh's playbook.
The biggest change will be the plays being called, when and how and in what situation - this should, and hopefully will be, different from Garrett's.

Thats retarded, should have just kept JG as OC/coach then
The toothbrush had to be invented in West Virginia, if it was created anywhere else it would have been called a teethbrush.
