Jerry can't just tell if Crawford can play dt. Either marinelli or kiffin had to bring this up

Crawford is a good asset for us going forward.
He's already shown he can play in this league and he could have some versatility in this scheme.

 Nice.
Could be true too.
High risk though
Huge upside.

Don't agree with Ware at all at OLB in this scheme. Huge waste.
But moving on...
You also think Spears and Hatcher will be out DEs? Or were you just listing lineman in general?

ummm.... He played both DT & DE in Boise States 4-3. All Jerry had to do is watch the tape. But don't let that which is obvious stop the incessant bashing.

My feelings exactly. He's got some quickness, speed and strength. Not in abundance but he can be a player IMO.
Did you know there are only 5000 Snow Leopards in the wild now and they are confined to Central Asia? However, the effective global population (those likely to reproduce) is less than half that number.

They could be patterning this defense after the Colts old 4-3 which had two undersized DE's in Freeney and Mathis. That would potentially give you Ware, Spencer, Butler, Albright and Wilbur as DE's.

I just don't think he has the edge bend and quickness to play out there, and I figure that is what Jerry is saying and basically repeating what he has heard from the staff.
No matter how much we want to say we can fill the spot with Crawford, I don't see him as the answer there, this ain't Boise St where he was probably the most athletic big man on the field. Just cause a guy played both positions in college doesn't make him be able to do that on this level.
The SDE is probably either going to be Spencer or drafted in the first round.

Please realize the coverage responsibilities of a 4-3 tampa 2 linebacker are far and away crucial to running the tampa 2 defense, and that a 3-4 outside linebacker who is generally a pass rusher, isn't going to play linebacker, where they are almost always in coverage...
Defensive ends?
Ware
Albright
Wilber
Butler if we re-sign him
In the final two months of 2011, Romo’s passer rating was 115.9.
