Can someone gimme a quick recap of what's been going on?
Haven't been on here much since the end of the season due to disappointment and school starting, from just the thread titles I see this
Robinson retiring possibly
Callahan is the play caller now?

Well, whatever you do, please don't allow anyone to convince you that Jason Garrett was demoted. He has the same title, same pay and less responsibility. If that is a demotion, I want one too!

Since everyone is going to basically bash Jerry or Garrett in this thread, here's what's gone down:
- Rob Ryan was fired and Skip Peete was also fired.
- Monte Kiffin was hired as the new defensive coordinator; Rod Marinelli was hired as the new defensive line coach; Henderson and Eberflus are also staying.
- Callahan seems like the most likely candidate to take over as the play-caller.
- John Garrett left to go coach the wide receivers in Tampa Bay.
- We have three openings left on the offensive side; a running backs coach, tight ends coach and most likely a wide receivers coach since it's looking like Robinson is going to retire; Also might have an opening at offensive line if Callahan decides to focus just on being a offensive coordinator.
- DeCamillis left as well (he wasn't fired, he just asked to be let go to go to Chicago). Have an opening there as well.

I don't get why some are up-in-arms about firing his brother. Is it not the HC's job to fire his staff if they aren't producing? So what if Jerry pushed the issue because obviously Jason did not want to do it even if it was the right move.
This is a business, a big business and not a family Italian/Greek restaurant where everyone from 16 to 75 works at without fear of losing their jobs.
Jerry maybe thought it was best to split those two up and I happen to agree with that decision.
Everyone has a plan, until they get hit.

How about we answer the guys question instead of a bunch of agendas and bias tactics that only brings the board quality down. If you are not part of the solution...you are part of the problem.
Rob Ryan was fired as DC
Monte Kiffin has been hired as DC
Most of the rest of the defense has stayed the same except Rod Marinelli has been brought in to be the Dline coach and some report assistant DC.
Skip Peete (RB Coach) has been let go.
Jason Garrett's brother John (TE Coach) is now with the Buccaneers
Jason will no longer call plays
Jimmy Robinson (WR Coach) probably retiring
Joe Decamillis(sp?) (ST Coach) is now with the Bears
Bill Callahan will now call plays (if reported correctly)
Looking to bring in a TE, RB and WR coach and Hue Jackson might be one of those.
Also with Rob Ryan gone and Monte Kiffen brought in we will switch from a base 3-4 to a 4-3.
That is the major news overall.

Also, don't forget that "real coaches" do not want to work here.

Ok...gotcha man...
Quick recap of the board since the end of the season.
Tony Romo is the biggest choker in the history of choking.
Jason Garrett is now a puppet of Jerry Jones.
The Cowboys suck.
RGIII is super duper awesome.
Tony Romo sucks.
Monte Kiffin is old.
Jason Garrett is a bad OC.
The Cowboys will never win a Super Bowl.
Tony Romo is the 33rd best QB in the league and chokes a lot.
Jerry Jones is the devil.
The Cowboys are the Titanic and we are all 3rd class passengers.
Trade Tony Romo right now.
Trade Ware now.
Trade Witten now.
And..........
Tony Romo sucks. Did I mention that?
That about does it, friend.
