Given that we are all our own GMs and are free to do what is best for the team we're representing, it (as before) is close to impossible to grade results.

I think right now we grade it right after the draft but the only way to grade while removing personal opinion is to compare where we picked a player vs where that play was drafted.
This in no way measure how good of a job you did at drafting....you could have what turns out to be the best draft in NFL history and end up with an "F".

Say, for example, you took Tom Brady in the 3rd round, or about 90-100 slots before he was actually taken. You get a -90 for making one of the best picks in history. lol Then, someone else takes Veron Gholson (a massive bust) at pick 6 and he is picked right there. That person gets the highest possible grade for that pick...a zero.
Or take last year, for example--what if someone took Alfred Morris much earlier. Awesome pick as it turns out, but not close to where he went...so big negative points.

This is great fun. I am not AT ALL dissing this draft.
Just letting some of the newbies know not to pay much attention to any grading. I wish there was a way to look back and measure how we did, but it would still be subjective. Right now the best we can do is compare where you picked a player vs where the player actually went.
As long as you know that, all is cool.

I always take a look back after the draft to see who got value in terms of where the players were actually picked. Here is last year's.

This is all in fun. Obviously things will change once you get years down the road. That's kind of the whole point to this. You pick your players you feel are the best value and see if it stands the test of time. The grading done right after the draft is just to crown a champion of that year's mock. Sometimes it's right, often times it's wrong.

I forgot how well you matched or exceeded "value" last year. Not bad!
I do recall thinking you slole Schwartz that late...but picked Massie instead.
Trumaine Johnson that late too.

BTW, Massie or Schwartz (4th round olineman) could maybe start for Dallas
