Did u see what Tom ciskowski said about arkin? It's not just Jerry that isn't up to par out there.

Ciskowski said he would be an immediate help and they had him rated as a round higher.

Of course this is the same guy that openly said we are looking for backups in the draft before 09, then proceeded to tell everyone how good Brewster and Williams will be.

the reasons we are struggling start with these people.

I think there will be 2 new starters on the OL but one is already on the team, Parnell. Costa will be starting at center. And Bernedeau will be the Rg in 2013. The change im willing to bet is at LG. I think Dallas gets one of these top Gs

I hope Costa isn't handed the starting center position.
1. Brandon Magee will beat out Ernie Sims for the backup WILL/MO roster spot.

2. Ron Leary will start at right guard over Bernadeau.

3. Joseph Randle, Terrance Williams and Gavin Escobar will have more combined TD's than DeMarco Murray, Miles Austin and Jason Witten.

4. Bruce Carter makes the Pro Bowl.

5. The starting OL will be Smith-Livings-Frederick-Leary-Free

If Costa starts at center next year someone needs a punch in the face.

If he's healthy, he'll be a pro bowl quality center.

Pretty sure there will be plenty of competition for the C spot, with Kolwaski, Bernadeau, and Cook. And maybe a draftee, and/or a vet. brought in.

THANK YOU. Finally someone calls out Ciskowski.

Say what you like about Jerry, but he isn't the guy who makes the board.

Jerry gets ripped, Garrett gets ripped, and Ciskowski flies under the radar.

I wouldn't say him and his staff are totally inept, but when it comes to grading OL, I don't think even a crystal ball would help them.

That looks like the casting call for Dumb and Dumberer.

We'll settle this with a good dust up.

I think you can do pretty well taking guys later in the draft at OL -- interior line especially. However, this requires a few things. You have to have quantity. Taking OL in the 4th - 7th round works if you take at least one guy each year. We did that in 2011 with Arkin and Nagy. But between 2008 and 2010 we took 1 OL guy (Sam Young) in those rounds. In 2007, again it was one guy (Free). Hard to hit in those later rounds when you aren't taking anyone.

The occasional high round pick helps as well, but we haven't had much success there outside of Smith. Marten and Brewster were the only other 1-3 guys taken since 2005.

Even if that's true, who keeps him in the position to set our board?

There is no passing of the buck when it comes to the GM. If you want that position, you take the responsibility that comes with it.

Other teams seem to be able to do it. We can't. So let's not assume we can do what other talent evaluators can. Let's play the hand we've been dealt and address the most glaring need on this roster with the best prospects we can find.

Our success rate in the 1st and 2nd round under Jerry is much better than anything taken after.

Oh absolutely. Jerry's the issue, and it's not even a debate as far as I'm concerned, but my point there was how Ciskowski goes unscathed far too often.
