Easy to judge...stupid decision to drive under influence.

However, "but for the grace of God, go I."

Is there any conceivable reason why this guy won't be in jail when next season rolls around and if so, surely the league will suspend him. I can't see any way Brent's career isn't over. I would suspect he will serve long enough in jail that he won't be able to play football when he gets out.

If he serves time it will be like a 2-4 year sentence for a vehicular manslaughter in Teas. That should keep him out of football for at least 1 season.

First Offense will help but, it's hard to see him playing next year.

Meanwhile Jerry is in some other world where being addicted to booze is normal.

If Ray Lewis is an NFL role model and pitchman, then anything is possible.

Brents biggest blessing is also his biggest curse, he has shown he can play on the field in a position where they are thin and could really use him.

Amen. Due process is part of what happens. It may very well come down to his career being over, but only time will tell.

...what brent did was stupid and negligent.....but should he take up taxpayer money in PRISON for a year or two over it? Maybe...or should he be required to give up to 3 speeches PER DAY at high schools around Texas abut the dangers of drinkin and driving and be monitored on a tether with NO alcohol for 2 years? I like the latter personally. Plus, Goodell will suspend him for a year minimum I would assume.
