I understand why some don't like Pelicans. I wouldn't.

I was always glad my team wasn't the Ducks or the Beavers either.

I guess by the time those mascot names were picked, all of the good ones were taken.

I can think of ten names better than the Pelicans. I do like the overall design of the logo however.

Good news is Charlotte will get to have the Hornets name back.

I think it might be too similar to the Atlanta Hawks for the NBA to seriously consider it, but I like the name.
