Albright looked like a serviceable starter in every game he played. Not amazing, mind you, but good enough

Sometimes that is all you need with good coaching and a reliable scheme.
Garrett to players: Make today a great day; go about the business of winning! If you can't keep up then don't step up.

It will be Wilber....this defense suits him better anyhow.

Guy isn't a pass rusher and not terrific in space, but strong and capable of playing the run well.

I hope so. The Cowboys need him to develop along with Coale, Hanna and Crawford.

Particularly when you're playing Ian Gold and Alshermond Singleton's former position. Current guys playing the position like Manny Lawson, Geno Hayes and LeRoy Hill aren't exactly world beaters either. It's basically the guy who absorbs TEs and lead blocking on the strong side.

Despite labeling myself a "realist", no one understands my pain or appreciates my special truth. Stupid world.

Don't forget Dixon Edwards, the Sam LB who played in obscurity alongside Ken Norton and Darrin Smith. Steady but unspectacular.

I think the term "serviceable" is what has been wrong with this defense for a long time.

You can get serviceable guys all over the place.
