I dont agree with Deions words per say
But do you think a coach like Belichik or Harbaugh could win with this team? I do. Its coaching. Garrett probably will win this yr with a great core of coaching surrounding him. I dont blame Jerry for this teams failures now. In the past yes. The players need to improve need to play smart. The coaching needs to improve and adapt.
Deion has a point but he goes at it in a ridiculous way

And Jerry will give them all huge contract extensions, just like in years past.

Yes it does. Jerry made this mess as he has for 17 years. I guess it was Quincy's fault we stunk earlier this decade.
You could have brady on this team and it wouldn't sniff the SB.

People were not complaining when he had got us 3 SB's.
Somehow that was all Jimmy.....
We are not doing good, It's Jerry's fault.
We win it all next season, it's because of Romo or a Coach.....
Funny how that all works

It's more the fact that we haven't been all that competitive on a regular basis since Jimmy left. The "Football" guy isn't making the calls anymore.
Jerry let Jimmy go so he could have the glory of building a winner. He hasn't.

You know what? Even if for whatever reason we conceded that winning those 3 SBs were ALL Jerry and no Jimmy, going 17 years with 1 playoff win is still a horrific track record and requires change.

AS: Cowboys ice their own kicker in 19-13 OT loss
“That is one of the luxuries of my position as owner as well as the ultimate decision maker, general manager and president – I can do that and take the losses and come back for more,” Jones said.

The bottom line is this...JERRY has made the decision to keep a core together that has not won. Forget a Super Bowl. They have only won ONE playoff game. From Garrett, to Romo, to Witten, to Ware, to Ratliff, to Austin, to Spears....and before this year you could have thrown in Newman and Bradie James. But you do not keep groups together this long that have expereinced NOTHING but LOSING!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Because clearly they have shown...that they cannot figure a way out of this funk!
We are 1 of 3 teams that have not been to an NFC championship game in the last 15 years. There is a reason for that. That is not a coincidence. That says the NFL is structured for everyone to at least throw a haymaker once every 15 years. And we have not done that. So whatever we are doing is BROKEN!!!!!!!!! And the only constant during that timespan is JERRY!!!!!!!

I will say he is right about one thing
While its easy to blame Jerry, Jason, Romo, Ware, and the names we know, maybe we should start calling out the role players who have shown the ability/Potential to perform yet refuse to do so when it is time to win (IE Free)
Dez can catch all the passes he wants, but if Ogletree isnt going to run the right hot route on a 3rd down, when the Def takes Dez away, then you aren't going to move the football
Murray can rampant all he wants, but if the line misses a block on a 3rd and one and he gets blown up in the backfield, you aren't going to be able to score TD's
Ware and spencer can abuse tackles all night long but if you have safties back there whiffing on assignments and tackles, then Ware and SPencer aren't going to even get a whiff of a sack..
We don't need star players, we have them already, what we need, are the role players that will consistently do there job week to week, which requires coaching, and better players.

REAL star players....REAL leaders demand more of role players. Everyone that walks in that Ravens lockeroom knew what time it was....and we all know why. They have a real leader that demands all the other players play the "Raven way".
Ogletree should have NEVER been invited to camp...and he sure as heck should have never made the team. Laurent Robinson showed us the year before....with his performace staright from his living room couch....what a REAL 3rd WR in Dallas could do IF they were legit. We should have seen right then and there we were WASTING our time with Ogletree. Yet he makes the team and is our 3rd WR AGAIN. This is one of many examples of what is wrong in Dallas

I genuinely wish Deion had never played a down for the Cowboys. I have never liked Prime Time and I never will. And yes, I blame Jerry for that, too.

you can demand all day long, but at the end of the day when a guy is on a contract, you can only do so much
he made the team because he told Jerry and Jason how he was going to change, and they gave him that opportunity, he came into camp, and he played well, parlayed that into the Giants game, and then he went right back into the old ogletree, sadly no one else was ready to step up and seize that opportunity, maybe this year, we will find someone via draft, or FA, that will.
