Though to argue the other side look at all the picks the Pats have stored up over the last 5 years or so. What has it gotten them?

True they are a consistent winner but how much of that is due to their picks in the last 5 years really distinguishing themselves?

And they have no more rings.
It is all about the sizzle not the steak. Jerry is a salesman first and a GM a distant second.

The difference between the 49ers and Dallas is the following...

You HARDLY EVER see their owners in the media

The head coach knows how to manage a team.

The GM and head coach put in place an excellent coaching staff.

fwiw

The VALUE of those 14 picks is about the same as the value of Dallas' 7.

It's not like they have abuch of high 1st and 2nd rounders.

Stll, it's a bit disgusting.
You would think the value of an 8-8 non playoffs teams' picks would be way higher than the possible SB Champ's.

Lol. I bet if you lived in California, you would see enough of them in the media.

With New England, that don't mean anything. By the time the draft is over, they could have 14 as well. New England is also very, very good at working the draft historically.

Usually stockpiling picks for the next year. And then they don't even draft that well with all the extra choices they get.

I see them changing their stripes as they're getting to the point where they can see the end of Brady's run.

But, my real point was that 'Real GMs' are all over the map on number of picks they may have this draft.
