He is already in the top 3 receivers in the game. It will be sweeter to watch him next time, see if he gets in.

While he certainly got snubbed, as far as I'm concerned it just means his next contract with the Cowboys will be slightly cheaper.
3rd and 21 - 3rd and 15
Dez Bryant the Redskins killer.

Not saying it's completely without an upside.

Heck... he wasn't the biggest Pro Bowl snub THIS YEAR. Whatever center in the NFC that didn't get picked because Jeff Saturday was picked as the starter was the most snubbed this year.

Jeff Unger was picked as the NFC starting center, and Saturday was the other center. Whoever was passed over in favor of Saturday was at least 1st alternate. And the next guy was 2nd alternate.
There were *six* NFC WR picked ahead of Bryant, including two starters, two backups, and two alternates. Bryant had better stats than four of them.

No snub at all.
Dez didn't come on until late in the season. Before then he had his fair share of negatively memorable plays (e.g. Bad routes vs. Chicago leading to Romo INTs; missing a game winning TD by a fingertip because he falls in the endzone with poor form, etc).
By the time Dez turned the corner much of the voting was in.
It's up to Dez now to build on his performance over the last 5 games, clean up any remnants of miscues, and carry that performance over a 16 game season (and through the playoffs).
If he does that he'll be a lock for next year!s pro bowl. Dez holds the keys; it's all up to him now to have a strong offseason to achieve that.

Trent Dilfer: "Tony [Romo] has greatness in him. I think when you talk to other people that really play the quarterback position, there's a few guys that really have incredible greatness in them, and Tony is one of them. I think the issue here is he needs more help from his teammates. I think they are not nearly as talented as people say they are, from 1 to 53. I'm talking about the total roster.”

Hard to argue against that case.
Snubbed indeed.

This is what this team, the Dallas Cowboys, has been relegated to.
People getting their feelings hurt because a player isn't named to a popularity contest.
Geez, Dez wasn't on the cover of Tiger Beat either.
Used to be this team was about play-offs and championships.
Now it's about meaningless awards voted on by fans.
This is what sixteen years of crapola gets you.

Hey, I don't really care if he gets named. Nor do I subscribe to secret anti-Cowboy conspiracies to play victim.
I'm just saying, the case made in the OP shows he should have gone.

Again, if the timing of the voting was an issue, why is it that 39 of the 40 times that WR have had similar numbers at the time of the voting they either made the Pro Bowl or were only passed over in favor of players with better numbers?
Fan balloting closed Dec. 17. League-wide voting of coaches and players took place Dec. 20. At that time, Dez and Brandon Marshall were the only NFC WR with at least 75 receptions, 1,000 yards and 10 TD. They were the only two NFC wide receivers who ranked in the top 5 in catches, yards, and TD.
Marshall and five others were voted to the Pro Bowl (or as alternates) ahead of Bryant.

Serious part of the problem is that the Cowboys (scoring) offense was so terrible in the first half of games.
Everybody scores when the opponent is controlling the game for 3 quarters and start to play prevent.
Don't get me wrong I think he has the (magic word) potential. I am one that feels that he is held back by the team and it could mean in the long run he will not return.
Dez is one of the top WRs in the game (in some aspects)... on a team that can't put it together. You can't blame him entirely for that, but it may be part of the problem.
