The era of Rice was the era where DBs could actually cover, though Moss played a little bit in that era I believe...
That alone should be taken into consideration when talking abuot WRs.

Moss is the best of this generation but would have been the best of all time if he didn't have his lost years in Oakland. Moss stats isn't padded as others but he was a beast in his prime.
Collin Klein in 2013 plz !!!!

I agree. Which if we take that into consideration then i think Don Hutson should be considered the greatest of all time. in just 116 games (11 year Career)
Don Hutson
Rec: 488
Yds: 7991
TD: 99
All in an era where running the ball was KING. and only 10 games a year were played

Probably not over rice or the playmaker, since moss never wanted to go across the middle until he went to new england....and still not that much.

We must first define the word "best".
If by best we meam most talented, then he's amonng the best.
If by best we mean achieving their potential, or enablig the larger goal of teamwise winning, then he's among the worst.

Trent Dilfer: "Tony [Romo] has greatness in him. I think when you talk to other people that really play the quarterback position, there's a few guys that really have incredible greatness in them, and Tony is one of them. I think the issue here is he needs more help from his teammates. I think they are not nearly as talented as people say they are, from 1 to 53. I'm talking about the total roster.”

Rice > Moss.
There is no formula for success except an unconditional acceptance of life and what it brings.

I think that Moss' stats in 14 seasons are better that Rices first 14 years in the NFL. I dont know that for sure ill do some research and see if i can find that.

I would still take Rice in his prime for 1 single season or even 1 single game over Moss.

What do you mean by talent? The definition of talent can vary quite a bit. If you are talking about the combination of purely physical traits such as size, speed, strength and power I think Calvin Johnson could be considered the greatest. The guy is a physical beast and Moss looks small next to him. Of course there are a lot of factors that go into playing wide receiver.

I think Rice is the GOAT, but if Moss played with Joe Montana, Steve Young, Jeff Garcia and Rich Gannon for his career, while Rice played with Randall Cunningham (35 or so), Jeff George (late in his career), Daunte Cullpepper (horribly over rated), Kerry Collins, Tom Brady (2 years I think) and Matt Cassell, I could see Moss having better career numbers. Probably not as good as Rice's numbers now, but better in my unpovable hypothetical situation

It's really neither a or b. the best should be what they accomplished. IMO, Shaq didn't reach his potential as a basketball player, but was still one of the best centers of all time.

I think I saw on the scrollbar that he's gonna play next year and he's going to be a Free Agent after this season.

Isn't that something someone else should say about you? Not about yourself. Egomaniac.
