Define "better."
1. Brandon Magee will beat out Ernie Sims for the backup WILL/MO roster spot.
2. Ron Leary will start at right guard over Bernadeau.
3. Joseph Randle, Terrance Williams and Gavin Escobar will have more combined TD's than DeMarco Murray, Miles Austin and Jason Witten.
4. Bruce Carter makes the Pro Bowl.
5. The starting OL will be Smith-Livings-Frederick-Leary-Free

Instead of getting into a big Romo debate, it would be cool if other posters would make their own lists based on tiers and post them and then we could discuss them.

As hard on Romo as I have been lately I can't even come up with anything positive to say about this thread.

Andrew Luck-rookie had a overrated year,no skins on wall
Russel Wilson-Could be a fluke?

1. Aaron Rodgers
2. Tom Brady
3. Peyton Manning
4. Drew Brees
5. Eli Manning
6. Ben Roethlisberger
7. Matt Ryan
8. Joe Flacco
9. Matthew Stafford
10. Cam Newton
11. Colin Kaepernick
12. Andrew Luck
13. RG3
14. Tony Romo
15. Russell Wilson
16. Jay Cutler
17. Matt Schaub
18. Philip Rivers
19. Andy Dalton
20. Michael Vick
21. Carson Palmer
22. Josh Freeman
23. Sam Bradford
The top 8 are who I consider the clear cut top QBs in the league right now, then from 9-13 I have a lot of the younger guys right in front of Romo. I think an argument could be made that Romo could be squeezed somewhere in that range, but at the same time those guys are just flat out more talented than Tony and I can't convince myself that I'd take him over any of those guys. 3 of them were recent #1 overall picks, another was the 2nd overall pick and the last is Kaepernick, who has as much ability as anyone in the league. They are all young and oozing talent. Even when you look at the group I have in the top 8, 6 of them were 1st Round picks and the other 2 are Brady and Brees (who was the top pick in the 2nd Round). You want big time talent at the QB position, you need to be willing to pay the price. Romo is a great story and a nice guy, but he'll never hold a candle to what those top guys have in arm talent.

That is a pretty solid list. I can't argue with it much. Only thing I would change would be to rate Wilson a little higher and Matt Ryan a little lower but that would easily be debatable.

If we are talking about the list of QBs I'd take for the 2013 NFL season:
I have Romo ahead of Stafford, Cam Newton, Luck, and possibly Wilson.

I would take Romo over Newton but not over Luck and surely not over Wilson. I'm really high on Wilson and thought he was surprisingly the best out of Colin, RG3, and Luck last year.

Depends on which Romo you're speaking of, the guy from the first half of the season or the last half?
The first half season Romo I'd put around 22, the second half around 8, so for the year I'd place him around 15.
By the end of 2014 Romo will not be starting for the cowboys and the most popular phrase on the board will be..."see I knew we shouldn't have signed him to that big contract".

You have romo ranked that horribly? Really? The guy has one off season and he's suddenly worse than a bunch of rookies?

Agree.
Now, who is better, Flacco or E-Lie?

I would personally take Colin, Wilson, RG3, and Luck over Romo right now. It's just my opinion though. Why don't you take that list I posted and make changes as you see fit. I wouldn't mind seeing where you have the QB's ranked.
