Just a strange hire.
I hope he can handle Dez.

Don't know if he has ever coached WR's, and certainly not pro WR's from what I know, but I've never gotten how you can coach something your not an expert in. I was a coach on defense, for LB's, and could have coached another position, but wouldn't have been able to teach the techniques correctly say for Oline.

I don't know why the Team would take a chance on Dez regressing when Robinson, from all accounts, seemed to do wonders for him. If it ain't broke don't fix it. I see this as a stubborn move by Garrett, hope it doesn't bite us in the butt.

smh. Read the thread. He was WR coach for the phins in 2005.

I'm afraid if we don't hear in the next couple of weeks then Garrett will continue calling the plays--UGH.

Not only did he coach WRs at the pro level but he also coached WRs at SMU in 97-99.
Sometimes it pays to do your own research instead of letting the group think for you.
"It's little bit like the description of pornography from years back. It's hard to define it. But you know what it is at the end of it. It's hard to define it. I think you know who is more physical. Often times you see that in the fourth quarter. A lot of time the team on the other side feels it. We pride ourselves on being a physical football team. It's important to us. It's an important time of the year to lay that foundation." - Coach Garrett

I think the only reason Robinson will not be the WR coach anymore is because he wanted to retire.

The article mentioned he was the WR coach while in Miami.
Either way though, a TE coach and a WR coach are not worlds apart in terms of coaching.

But you could coach DL.
Dooley was a TE coach under saban and helped coach Hunter, Patterson and Rogers before Rogers was kicked off the team at UT.
I don't think their is much of a difference for TE to WR.
Also the guy was a WR when he played at Virgina
