Stephan Peterman Released
@PFF: According to @davebirkett Lions to release Stephan Peterman today. Gave up joint most combined sacks, hits and hurries of any guard in 2012
"It's little bit like the description of pornography from years back. It's hard to define it. But you know what it is at the end of it. It's hard to define it. I think you know who is more physical. Often times you see that in the fourth quarter. A lot of time the team on the other side feels it. We pride ourselves on being a physical football team. It's important to us. It's an important time of the year to lay that foundation." - Coach Garrett

He and Doug Free would make the perfect pair.
What are the chances Jerruh brings him back stating the Cowboys regretted ever letting him go.

Dallas drafted Peterman. Another in a long line of mishandling of the offensive line

Jerry's kind of lineman, can't block. Perfect fit.

Peterman might or might not be an example of why the Cowboys have held on to Arkin.

I don't think Peterman's case is anything like Arkin's. Arkin is (was?) a small-school developmental project who can't get on the field even with multiple injuries. Peterman was a top SEC player with questionable NFL athletic talent who was playing, but then sustained a terrible leg injury and the team gave up on him, probably because they weren't sure he'd ever be the same.
And besides, that was Parcells making that move. This is Jerry/Garrett.
Unfortunately, Arkin is probably more like James Marten. Simply can't play.

Now was that a Parcells pick or a Jerry pick?

The Lions cut Peterman because they have his replacement on the roster . Bill Nagy.
Yes. I did that on purpose.

Rue, rue, rue...
I didn't understand that move. All they had to do was wait until the roster cut date and then put him on IR. Did they really need ALL 90 roster spots?
