Yeah? I spoke with my Uncle Jason Garrett. He said the man is here to stay. They say he has heart.

We cut Free we save $12 million on the cap.

Which would you rather have, Doug Free or an extra $12 million to spend?

Besides, just about any warm body street free agent could play as well as Free did last year, so the argument to keep him for depth purposes is moot.
As the official head coach of the Dallas Cowboys, Jason Garrett is 16-16............"Its a Process of stacking good days"

2013 Prediction: "NO PLAYOFFS"

You do know he is related to him right?

Yeah, I do. It was a poor attempt at comedy on my end.

If they cut Free now they save almost $3M on the cap, after June 1st it jumps to $7M saved.

He's probably not willing to take the kind of paycut needed to be a backup.

Can't have a backup counting 11 mil against the cap bro. I wouldn't be surprised to see us rework a deal with Free.

If true this is a good step in the right direction. As long as Jerry can find the right replacement. Parnell could play the position if needed this year.

I say draft heavy on the OL and DL this year. Add a safety too.

I wish him well but don't think he can hang on as anything more than a backup swing Tackle at close to vet min salary now after last year's performance.

I can't think of another young OT who lost it so quickly without injury or eating himself out of the league.
Eskimo, I think Free had the dreaded double whammy last year for any O-lineman - he had no base (strength) AND his footwork was terrible. You can be a decent RT lacking one of those, but both? You're done.

Shoulda let Tampa overspend on him.

He had some good film an starts to indicate he was ready but this year he got exposed.

Now we're back to the plug and pray approach with Parnell.

This team has no idea what a QB or Olinemen looks like.
