We should sign him. Everytime someone gets cut, someone comes on and says we should take a look.

The Giants are taking on more and more of the Patriot model of not keeping players until they drop dead.

Canty would be fine if reasonably priced. Bradshaw, not really interested. Good RBs are easy to get in mid-round draft and they don't have the wear and tear the vets do.

I just don't understand the Giants line of thinking here. Bradshaw is a pretty good RB and is fairly young. Canty is a solid DL player. Very questionable decisions coming from the front office in NY. I would be furious if I was a giants fan

Where would he play? He's not a 3 technique pass rusher and the other DT is a NT in Kiffins scheme. He's around 6-7 320.

I like what they're doing if you factor in their current roster and salary situations.

The young guys --David Wilson and Marvin Austin are going to step in next year. Plus they are clearing cap room. They know what they're doing.

It's just a standard, run of the mill salary cap dump. Canty is constantly hurt and was due to make $6 million next year. Bradshaw has chronic foot problems, has two young guys behind him that need carries and is due $3.75 million in 2013

Despite labeling myself a "realist", no one understands my pain or appreciates my special truth. Stupid world.

They are cap casualties. Its not so much their play but their cost. But Ahmad Bradshaw did not look that good last year. I think he may have squeaked over 1k yards but it was a struggle to get there.

Bradshaw is still young and I'd be ok with picking him up but no way he goes to a team to be the back up. He goes to jets or somewhere willing to pay top dollar for him

Interesting how they move right on from players once they no longer see the value in them. No keeping them around for 2-3 more extra years.

What is there to not understand...

Canty was due $6 million, and his performance was below average for that price. DT will be a position they need to address but they needed to get under the cap. He was not the same player he was before the microfracture surgery, and his play didn't justify his pay.

Bradshaw, though fairly young, has already had close to 6 different surgeries on both feet, with the most recent one coming a few weeks ago. As we all know he is an extremely tough runner, and he's getting close to the 1000 carry mark. With David Wilson, and Andre Brown behind him they have some other horses at extremely cap friendly prices. RB's are a dime a dozen these days.

Also, the bottom line... The Giants need to save as much as possible to get long term deals for Nicks/Cruz/JPP.

It's been more them doing so when they'd cost more against the cap to keep than cut
