Default NFL has considered widening the playing field 35 feet

The NFL reportedly might consider widening the playing field to Canadian Football League standards, a drastic idea that would be one of the bigger rules changes the game has seen in a long time – if it comes to pass.
The National Football Post reported that the league has talked about widening the field sideline-to-sideline from 160 feet to 195 feet, which is the CFL standard, and the league might look into the idea again this offseason.

I imagine the owners will make this DOA if they have to spend millions to remodel their stadiums and more concerned with season suiteboxes.

Don't we have enough offense already?

They don't need to widen the playing field, but they do need to widen the sidelines if they are serious about safety!

With the speed of the game guys are always hitting the edge and getting run out of bounds, putting people standing on he sideline at risk for a big hit. That security guard getting hurt, at the pro bowl I think, should be the last straw.

Oh no!!!!!!! Not you Lonestar94, whatever will the NFL do?

This is Tony Romo's team. If you don't like him, find another team.

I don't think it's an issue with the sideline. Move those people.

If this game turns into flag football I will not like/deal with it. Widening the field is just the beginning.
