Default Bullying is real

It may not affect everybody, but it sure does affect some.

Rebecca Marino quits tennis because of bullying on social media

Wouldn't it make more sense to just quit/delete Facebook and Twitter accounts and focus on tennis?

Seriously.

Although, once you see those comments, I can understand how people would want to constantly check it to see if things improve.

BS. I don't have Facebook or or whatever. I actually talk to my friends in person.

With the crap thrown at me here, I should go on stress leave and blame guys like the marine and others who never pass up a shot to try and bully me.

However, I would never give you guys that satisfaction.

...instead of just dropping random, uneducated opinions maybe an investigation into the matter would lead you to her agent who runs her social media sites for her along with many other sites he has for other clients of his firm.

The firm has in their stable more than just her, but given her other issues she was dealing with having those comments come to her social media sites is clearly not healthy for her.

Telling a young person to delete sites and ignore the opinions of others shows a lack of understanding on how young people navigate the social climate nowadays.

Just to clear the air. The social media sites were set up by a well known US based agency who represents many young tennis players so I would avoid blaming her.

I was bullied as a kid but never had to create a video or make a press release about why I was quitting. I would bet its just an easy way out of a situation she doesn't want to be in which is being a middle age tennis player with no immediate future in the sport. The girl is beautiful on the outside I hope she finds what will make her feel the same way on the inside.
It is what it is

...is the situation is a lot more complex than you make it out to be.

She had been dealing with clinical depression for about six years with medical assistance. Even her sports agent acknowledged this and was assisting the family in getting her help and keeping to a therapy schedule.

The decline in her tennis play may not be the cause of her retirement, but rather a symptom of what was going on in her life with depression.

I don't disagree with you at all.
