PAR
Last Draft the Safety and Oline positions were deep and talented.
This year not so much...maybe 2nd or 3rd rounders.

I think Polamalu of 3-4 years ago was the best safety in the game. However, he hasnt been healthy in at least 2 years and is on the wrong side of 30. I'd also question his workouts with Todd Marinovich's Dad. He claimed it would help him play longer, but he's had calf and hamstring injuries the last 2 years and missed a ton of games.

Dallas has some needs safety is one I would hope who is on the board means more than position. I would think the key is getting quality talent

Safety is certainly a need but if you don't have a solid dline then the safety will get burned often. Our dline should be the number 1 priority followed by the oline, then safety. I'm on board for taking best available in the draft though.

I think they go after Safety in FA and build a DL/OL through the draft...I think they want a Veteran safety with the young Church and Johnson back there,

OL, then DL.
Our DL is mediocre. Our OL is embarrassing. It's a real indictment of the front office that an NFL team fields a line of that caliber.

We'll settle this with a good dust up.

think about it...
if our GM gets fired he will not get another job as GM
if our director of pro-personnel gets fired he will not get another job as that in the NFL
if our HC gets fired he will not get another job as HC in the NFL
ALL THESE PEOPLE ARE IN POSITION ONLY BECAUSE JERRY IS THE OWNER AND GM
and not one of them is qualified to do the job they are doing

But as far as the amount investment, you spend your dollars (or 1st round pick) on what will win you races (Dline/Engine) and spend less (3rd-4th rounder) on what will get you to the shop (Safety/tires).

And it'd help if somebody under the hood was a mechanic.

Agree, I think he's getting too beat up.
What are these workouts with Marinovich's dad, though? Running away from birthday cake icing? Seriously though, haven't heard of this.

Polamalu has consistently worked out with Marv Marinovich in the offseason rather than with the Steelers. no big deal, but Ol Marv made it seem like he was re-inventing the wheel with workouts and #43 would avoid muscle pulls and be better conditioned than anyone else. Basically, he's a snake oil salesman.
