He is THAT GOOD folks!

That comment tells us more about your feelings about Romo than on Cooper.

I need to find the thread where I had a long debate where I said that Cooper was a strong player and that he would weigh-in around 310 and not 290.

No, he can't find one in the second. You or me might could do it, but Jerry hasn't been able to do it in years. For some reason the Cowboys can not find decent olinemen.

Actually I am a staunch supporter of Antonio Ramiro Romo.

Cooper is just out of this world good.

I think Pouncy went at 15 in 2011 and he had some drooling too.
have you checked out the bust rate for 1st rd guards?

That has to be the dumbest idea I've heard...

Jerry Jones: "I don't know when I've ever seen a player impress our staff without having played in a ball game any more than Matt Johnson."

well he did once; LA was a second rd pick.

But then again that was almost 20 years ago as well.

No team in the NFL since 2007 have spent fewer 1st and 2nd rd picks on the O line as the Dallas Cowboys.

Actually since Jerruh jones bought the boys no other team in the NFL has used fewer high picks on the O line

Last year, one of the best guards in the draft ended up being taken with pick 40.

It's 7 more than Warford with similar arm length.

At 40, you're talking the difference between the 2nd best OG prospect and the 3rd in the entire draft. That might be a big difference some years, but I think, like anything, the difference ends up being relatively arbitrary once other important factors are brought into bear. Better dedication, better training resources, more coaching time dedicated to the player. All of these things can factor into development as much or more than any perceived initial physical differences.
When asked whether Jason Garrett is the right head coach for this team: "I don't think there is anyone else that could. I think he is an unbelievable coach. We've responded to him and he has made us better football players, better people. If you watch us I think we play with a certain relentless spirit." --Sean Lee

Happy to see him succeed...thought he was as good as the golden boy DeCastro.

What? Cooper does NOT have short arms. Check the arm length of ALL the guards in the NFL, then get back to me.
