Yes, they would rush to sign a QB who can stack meaningless stats like nobody's business.
Like him or not, you cannot deny Romo has been a prolific QB in this league.

How are they meaningless? Without Romo's crazy stats, the cowboys don't win many games.

I'm sure he meant in relation to getting to the playoffs and advancing.
Yes, without Romo we would be getting slaughtered the last couple of years.
Actually, the team's won-loss percentage is pretty decent with him at the helm. 55-38 is one of the better winning percentages in the league.
We all just want and expect more from the team, and some case, him too.

Kap - 2nd in defense (ppg) + 6th in rushing TDs
Luck - 21st in defense (ppg) + 18th in rushing TDs
Wilson - 1st in defense (ppg) + 9th in rushing TDs
RG3 - 22nd in defense (ppg) + 2nd in rushing TDs
Luck is also in the AFC South (Houston, Tennessee, Jacksonville) and played the AFC East.
In the final two months of 2011, Romo’s passer rating was 115.9.

Ice is cold as well
I done speculated this a few days ago.
It really isn't speculation - it is just obvious that you wait for Flacco to set the market as he's actually a UFA

Perfect example of throwing stuff at the wall and hoping it sticks as SD proved this wasn't true. Secondly, the convenient "he throws INT's'" is also a fallacy since Eli (3.2%) has a considerably higher INT percentage than Romo (2.8%).
Do I get it's about the rings? Absolutely. Do I get that some of you make blanket and reckless statements as to his ability that simply aren't true? Absolutely.
Third, you guys are going to want to jump off a building because the word from Mike Fisher is, is that Jerry knows knows there's only a handful of guys on this planet who can play the position anywhere near what Romo can and he has no intention of going into the dark ages with an unknown entity at QB at his age so you can forget a 3 year deal, it's going to be a 4-5 year deal with the hopes of finding someone to develop.
You wanna bet that Romo with some help on the offensive line and a running game won't win in the playoffs in five years. I'll take that bet...
If you survive the jump.

This is exactly what is going to happen. They are going to ride Romo without developing someone to take his place. Its just how Jerry does things. They will try and find a future QB in the later rounds but that usually doesn't work out. There was a poll on one of the sports sites about whether or not Romo should be extended and over 70% voted no. I know polls are meaningless but the general NFL fan doesn't trust him at all and I'm beginning to fall in that category and I like Romo. People say this team wouldn't win 5 games without him and I really question that statement. In fact, I don't believe it at all......
Never argue with an idiot, they will drag you down to their level and beat you with experience.

Romo is better then all of those guys that have just come into the league and he is way better than Eli as well. Romo is right in the 5-8 range imo and if he had a friggin team around him he would be right in Brees range, maybe a little below but not much.

What's your plan then genius? Replace Romo with a rookie quarterback like Tyler Wilson or Tyler Bray?
Romo will be laughing his butt off when he's traded and see's how bad this team will become without a quarterback. I seriously can't wait when he leaves and we become a consistent 5-11 team and have to endure another 5-6 years of failure. It's gonna be hilarious to see guys like you and ufcrules, clove come to the realization how important Romo was to this franchise and that we wouldn't even be relevant without him.
Sure the guy hasn't done crap in the post-season, but like I said before, Romo is the only reason we're even a decent team anymore and it's sad some of you can't see it. It's hilarious to see how some guys actually believe guys like Luck, RG3 and Wilson would lead this team to the playoffs. It truly is.
