Steven Jackson will be voiding a $7m option year to become a free agent. I wouldn't pay him that over 3 years at this point.

He's actually been one of the more productive RBs over the last 5 years.......until this year pretty much.

this past year he ran like he was in concrete boots running through molasses. He's done, just like most RBs when they hit their 30s. Much easier and cheaper to draft one every four years or so. Unless a guy has Adrian Peterson/Barry Sanders talent, RBs are easily replaceable. Can't see any reason to spend any significant money signing a FA RB when our OL is terrible and you're just as likely to find a decent one in the mid to late rounds of the draft who will also have fresher legs and a cheaper contract.
Still left to accomplish:
sign OT Winston or G Moore

Don't let the name fool you, he looked like he was 41 this season.

The shelf life has expired; you don't sign RB's over the age of 30 unless they are somehow throwing up 1,500 yard seasons. This league has shown that RB's are now like oil filters; get your mileage out of them, maybe run them over the limit a bit, and toss it away for a new one in a cheap fashion.

31 is old for any rb, but turner has some serious miles on him. just draft a guy and pay a whole lot less money for him. every year there are guys in the middle or late in the draft who play very well and dont cost much at all

I think you just make stuff up, to be honest.

You want Romo gone, but want the Cowboys to sign Turner.

There is no way you can actually watch games and come to that conclusion. No possible way. So you must just make this ish up.

Jerry Jones: "I don't know when I've ever seen a player impress our staff without having played in a ball game any more than Matt Johnson."

No to Turner. Need a young RB, that can step in for the long haul for when Murray gets injured again.....let's hope that doesn't happen, but seems he's next in line on a list of injury prone RB's, like Julius 7 Felix Jones.

I hate it when Skins fans are right.

This is a team who is battling several major injuries to
key players including Pro Bowl talents like Lee, Austin, Jenkins, Murray,
Carter and Ratliff. Other key starters missing include Costa, Smith, Church and
Coleman. That is 11 key players - that's half the starting lineup. Yet we still went 8-8.

The draft always has such a plethora of RBs that come out every year. Why get older & spend the money on an aging RB?
