I predict we will have a lot of trouble with the Eagles.

I don't know if Kelly is the next Spurrier, or Tom Landry.

I think he's an innovator, for sure, and I'm very interested to see how this all plays out.

They've certainly got a lot of talent on the Eagles

This thread is a good example who knows football and who doesn't.

It has nothing to do with it being a college offense. It has to do with what his philosophy does to opposing defenses. And he has the perfect personnel to run it.

With very little pro film to use against him, Kelly and the Eagles might win the division next year, just like we did in 07 with Wade and Garrett.

Funny seeing these first year coaches come in and implement offenses that work with hardly any talent and it's taken our HC/OC 6+ years to get his to work and his best year was when Sparano was really running the show.
Yes, they have a lot of speed on O but their D is suspect IMO. The East is just difficult.
Did you know there are only 5000 Snow Leopards in the wild now and they are confined to Central Asia? However, the effective global population (those likely to reproduce) is less than half that number.

You act like this "philosophy" is something new. It's been around since the 70s. There's a reason why teams haven't successfully implemented it in the NFL full time. The NFL is ultimately a QB driven league and eventually when a QB is used as a RB enough in the NFL he gets killed.

Will Chip Kelly adapt? Probably. If he stick around long enough. Seems like a smart guy. Ultimately all coaches live and die by their QB play. The thing about Spurrier Petrino and Saban is they didn't stick around long enough to adapt or find their QB . They almost immediately decided the NFL is too hard and jumped ship back to college for lucrative jobs. If Chip Kelly struggled a little he would probably have his phone ringing off the hook by whatever major college program du jour that had an opening offering him a bazillion dollars to go back to college. Eagles covered their bases there a little bit by offering him $7 million.

Despite labeling myself a "realist", no one understands my pain or appreciates my special truth. Stupid world.
