Now that Flacco's deal is done and dusted, I can see Romo getting his extension pretty soon.

I see no reason, what so ever, why Romo should give the Cowboys any sort of break. We won't give him a break once he gets too old. It's business.

What's Romo worth? A hell of a lot less.

Flacco is younger and has a ring. He's certainly not the better player but you have to give him more money with him holding those big cards. He did have great playoff run while he was flossing his teeth under lack of pressure....120 mil it is! Seriously, Flacco finally came up big and he seems to be improving, so lock him up.
Romo gets 5 years and 80

Packers have been getting away with railroad robbery paying Aaron Rodgers $9m/year or so for the past 3 years. His contract is coming up -- his contract will be the mother of all NFL contracts and it will put Flacco's to shame -- my guess is $22-24m a year.

Rodgers is getting near 10.6 a year. Still pretty cheap compared to most above avg starters getting 14-16 a year.

So Rodgers makes about the same as Brandon Carr... except Carr's contract is mostly guaranteed....

Here's a quote from a Ravens fan on another forum replying to a poster who said Flacco was not elite:

Ravens fans think Flacco is Johnny Unitas reincarnated.

i hate jalen rose.

somebody needs to remind jalen he once signed a hundred million contract and he was far from elite.

It's a good lesson though; rarely is the highest paid player the best player. It's usually just a perfect storm of timing and circumstance. I believe Jalen's good buddy Juwan Howard was the highest paid player for a time.

let him walk then.

bet on himself like Flacco did..lead the Cowboys to the playoffs, then he gets paid.

I don't see why Jerry continues to pump so much money into an 8-8 squad.

Bottom out.Let's get some top 5 draft picks.
