Offensive Guard
This draft seems pretty weak at guard, but Kosier do we replace Kosier this year? I think Marten and McQuistan are too tall for guard, so I only think Proctor is an option there - is that good enough?

I would draft a OG (would prefer a versatile guy who can play C or OT) day 2. In preseason next year we will know much more about guys like Free and Marten and Proctor. Replacing Kosier won't be easy but if one steps up I'd do it in a heartbeat. McQ's future is at OT IMHO.
This is a team who is battling several major injuries to
key players including Pro Bowl talents like Lee, Austin, Jenkins, Murray,
Carter and Ratliff. Other key starters missing include Costa, Smith, Church and
Coleman. That is 11 key players - that's half the starting lineup. Yet we still went 8-8.

Honestly said, if in Round 2 the best player available is a Guard (who can preferably play some Center in a pinch) with Gurode type measurables, I'd have no problem drafting him.
IMO, the key to our success on offense has been the OL and Romo.
We need to keep the OL as one of the best in the NFL.

Whats with all the hate on Kosier? I think he's very solid, rarely makes any mistakes.

McQ could play OG, in fact teams like converting OTs to OG because of their athleticism

I don't hate Kosier.
But if the best available is a Guard (or a top Guard slips to us in the 2nd), I'd rather have more competition/depth on the OL than feeling "obliged" to draft a CB or WR, for example.

Wasn't there a plan to have McQ work at guard this camp but it got dumped due to Flo's knee problem?

I wouldn't draft to replace Kosier since he's been a solid player , but you should always add young linemen to your squad and give them time to develop . Shannon Tevaga OG/U.C.L.A. in the 4th would be my pick , and maybe Doug Legursky C/Marshall in the 7th . Dallas has little depth at either position .

I like Legursky's measurables and the fact that he has been there every game of his college career. I think he would be a solid prospect to have as our primary backup for Gurode.
