Overview


Keller is a former wide receiver turned tight end whose quickness off the snap, top end speed and production in this offense have scouts paying him close.

A similar looking prospect to Washington Redskins H-back Chris Cooley, Keller may be limited to an H-back role at the next level due to his less than ideal size, strength and blocking for the traditional tight end role. Keller emerged as a junior to become one of college football's most productive tight ends. Last season, his first as a starter, Keller snared 56 passes for 771 yards and five touchdowns in 2006.

His senior season has been more of the same (61-731-6) for the talented receiver. The concern for scouts, of course, is Keller's lack of size and strength. While he plays hard, Keller struggles at the point of attack and is much more comfortable in the passing game. Keller is prone to lapses in concentration, and drops more passes than he should.

In a weak year for senior tight ends, he is among the better prospects -- and one who, if used in the correct system, can be productive at the next level.
