Dallas 1st round picks
1a. (/v Cleveland) South Florida CB Mike Jenkins
~would take Antoine Cason here, but I think the Thorpe Award Winner goes before, Jenkins isn't a bad consolation prize though, big, athletic corner, w/ good balls skills
1b. ECU RB Chris Johnson
~shifty, elusive back in the Joseph Addai mold, added bonus is that he's a great kick-returner, and we'll need another one in case teams decide to kick away from Austin, but most of all, is a great complement to Barber, and could start too if the team feels Barber is better in the closer role

I know Johnson has been soaring up the charts, but I think taking him at the end of round 1 would be too early.

Still unsure of going RB in the first with MBIII.
This is a team who is battling several major injuries to
key players including Pro Bowl talents like Lee, Austin, Jenkins, Murray,
Carter and Ratliff. Other key starters missing include Costa, Smith, Church and
Coleman. That is 11 key players - that's half the starting lineup. Yet we still went 8-8.

would you pair Joseph Addai w/ Barber? that's what you would essentially be doing if you take Chris Johnson

Addai is much, much bigger and stronger. I don't think they're very similar at all.

Addai is more straightline and is a better inside runner, but both are great receivers, in fact like Chris Johnson, Addai was pegged by many to be a 2nd round pick
the difference in size between them is 1" and maybe 15/16lbs., it's not out of the realm of possibilities that Johnson could add that weight

Dont compare Chris Johnson with Joseph Addai. First and foremost. Addai is in the NFL and is doing what hes doing. Chris Johnson is doing what hes doing with ECU in a weak conference. Addai played at LSU, in the SEC and he came up big in that conference. Coming up big in Conference USA is nothing special.

Addai isn't really a straightline RB. And the size difference is more like 20+ lbs.

Addai is 214
Chris Johnson is 200, 198 at the least
and I said he was more straight-line, than Chris Johnson, not that he is straight-line

From what I've read, Johsnon "bulked up" to that size. It's not really his natural weight and it'll take an effort to keep up his weight. He played around 185-190 before this season. Addai is much bigger. He's naturally around the 215 range. If wanted to "bulk up" he could get to 235 or so. They're just different body types.

what do you mean "bulked up"? are you saying he did it unnaturally or something?
it's either you bulk up, or you don't
