I think after the combine I could see Johnson going that high. He reminds me of Westbrook.

I agree. If that's who we target, for the love of god please not in the first. Even if it means trading up in the second, I just don't think he's a good value in rd 1.

I believe in the drafting the best available player, but it doesn't make sense to draft a rb in the first round when, at BEST, he will split carries with the incumbent for the next few years. Ideally they should be looking secondary, inside 'backer, wr, o-line (never have enough) in the first.
What do you guys think of Jamaal Charles in the third?

I think that's interesting. He should be good value around there.
I don't see the point of using one of our first rounders for a RB who is basically only going to get 10-12 touches a game. I'm assuming, of course, that Barber is going to be the primary back.

That may not be bad value for him. Its not like its a high number 1 pick its the last pick in the first round and if we don't think he's going to make it all the way to the end of round 2, they should pull the trigger.
I had an apartment and I had a neighbor, and whenever he would knock on my wall I knew he wanted me to turn my music down and that made me angry 'cause I like loud music... so when he knocked on the wall, I'd mess with his head. I'd say, "Go around! I cannot open the wall! I dunno if you have a doorknob on your side but over here there's nothin'. It's just flat."

That's twice as many touches as most WRs usually get, add in special teams and that is alot of time with the ball in his hands.

I would be ecstatic and draft him in a heartbeat! Too bad he's not coming out (unless something has happened recently) or IF he does declare, he won't get past the 2nd round.....

I would love Jamaal Charles....but he is staying at UT
I would love Kevin Smith....but he is staying at Central Florida
Ray Rice is a very nice prospect....but he has been 1 dimensional in college.
Chris Johnson has the speed, the elusiveness, and is multi-purpose. I think he would be a great threat on KR alongside Austin.
Anthony Alridge could be a great late round pick to replace TT. He is super fast and versatile. If the coaches don't want CJ returning kicks, Alridge could
I would prefer to get CJ in the 2nd round, but I wouldn't be too upset if we had to draft him with our 1st. Then, with our 6th rounder, if he is still on the board, grab Alridge.

An inside backer wouldn't start, neither would o-line and a wr and cb would get about the same amount of PT.

honestly i have never been impressed with Patrick. I mean he did well as APs backup, kinda like Hamhock did in relief of Emmitt. However, once he became the lead back, Patrick just didn't do much for me. Now that Murray kid was quite impressive, well at least prior to his injury. As a UT fan, I can honestly tell you that Murray was the guy I feared touching the rock, not Patrick.
While we are on the subject of OU....Kelly is a beast in college, however, I do not know how well he will translate his game to the pros. I am weary of drafting him too.
I would love this draft on day 1.....
1 - WR Adarius Bowman - OSU
1 - RB Chris Johnson - ECU
2 - CB Dominique Rodgers-Cromartie - Mid Tenn St or Leodis McKelvin - Troy St

1a. Keith Rivers.............Coached by one of our own and can play any LB position.
1b. Chris Johnson................Complimentary Speed.
2. Trae Williams.....................Just as good as Jenkins
3. Jamie Silva........................A tad short, but a Playmaker
4. Limas Sweed......................Falling and he can't get up, so snag him

An inside backer could start by the end of the year. A first round CB could be good enough to start every game, if Henry moves to Safety.
Aqib Talib and Beau Bell/Rey Maulaugua in the first? I'd be quite happy, but I think we'd go WR instead of ILB.

After watching how pathetic we are without TO, I am on the bandwagon of getting a 1 or 2nd round WR to develop into another weapon for Romo. We are definately needing to draft another CB as teams are going 3-4 WR on us frequently.

I doubt that we go WR in the 1st round, we'll probably take one, early Day 1 though IMO
