He is used to sharing the load, but has the ability to be the lead guy if we choose to use Barber as we have been doing, or he can be the change of pace guy as he is at Arkansas. This is a pick we'll never regret.

2nd round. Gosder Cherilus, OT, Boston College, 6'7", 315. A pick that I still believe could be headed to Detroit for Roy Williams. For now we'll assume we keep the pick. Let's get an earth mover OT in case it's the end of the road for Flo. Here he is. If he ends up in Dallas we could have bookend Boston College Eagles on the O-line. He has first round talent and Boston College has a History of good O-linemen in the NFL. Dare I say it? This is my annual pedigree pick.

3rd round. Adarius Bowman, WR, Oklahoma State, 6'3" 220. I'm a little shocked that his stock is dropping, but that could be a coup for the Cowboys because if he develops (and I admit WR is hit or miss more than any other position) then he could be a key ingredient in keeping the Offense dangerous. He is a chain mover along the lines of Keyshawn Johnson without the USC hype machine. I'd rather go WR in the middle rounds if we can't have the no doubt best guy and try and develop him.

4th round. Owen Schmitt, FB, West Virginia, 6'2", 247. You can't budge me from thinking this guy is a perfect fit in Dallas. Schmitt has two stats that just jumps off the page at you. 106 knockdowns and 17 TD blocks. That means 106 times the guy he was blocking hit the ground and 17 times he sprung someone for a TD score. Those stats are unreal for an Offensive Lineman much less a FB. This guy plays with attitude and passion. Our offense needs some of that. Combine him with Barber and we have the meanest RB duo in the NFL. I don't think I have ever seen a more ferocious blocking FB in my life. He has broken 10 facemasks on his own helmets in his college career. That means this guy leaves it on the field every play.

5th round. Curtis Johnson, OLB, Clark Atlanta, 6'3" 239. I know what you are thinking. Who? Where? In a 3-4 Defense you have to have depth at LB and this kid can flat out play. He had 27 tackles for losses and 13.5 sacks and was the SIAC Defensive player of the year. If I had to predict anyone is going to rise beyond his college this is the kid.

6th round. Spencer Larsen, ILB, Arizona, 6'2", 243. I know, I know, I went homer again. Yeah I did and with good reason. This guy is a born to play football. He was the Defensive MVP of the East - West Shrine Game and the unquestioned inspirational leader of the Wildcats defense. 131 tackles in 2007, 15.5 for losses, 4 sacks, 3 forced fumbles, 4 fumble recoveries, 5 pass deflections and an INT. Why the 5th round for a guy like this? Simply put, 40 yard dash. He is not going to fly to the ball. That will never stop him from making tackles. This guy is smart and he reads breaks and angles and gets to the ball. He is a perfect guy to play Special Teams while he is groomed to be an eventual starter. He could rise up draft boards with a good combine. If he does, take him sooner. You'll never regret a guy like this on your football team.

7th round. Shannon Tevaga, OG, UCLA, 6'3", 318. It seems like every year I want a backup QB in the draft or as an UDFA. If he drops this far I'd take a flyer on Colt Brennan from Hawaii. If for no other reason than someone named Colt should play for the Cowboys. This year is different though. After round 3, there's no one I particularly like enough to obsess about. In the absence of that go get a big O-lineman who started a lot of games. Tevaga fits that bill. This kid reminds me a bit of Derreck Kennard in that he is big and plays big and frustrates opponents because of it.

Hopefully Bowman can hold onto the ball at the combine hes really going to need to be impressive. All the dropped passes in the practices and then once he finally caught one he fumbled.

Wasnt he also cheated the GW TD in the actual game, that eventually they got on the end around?

There are different options at WR that I like more, even before the senior bowl I have got to see a lot of Eddie Royal living in VA. I would prefer him over and Avery or Bowman, despite what their draft grades are.

Yes I had Spencer Larsen in the 6th before reading yours. I have issues believing Dallas will take a RB in the first after all the money Jerry is about to dish out to Barber but I really wanted to put Felix Jones down. I also fought with Cherilus in Round 2 but had to go the RB route because I passed in round 1.

I have issues believing Dallas will take a RB in the first after all the money Jerry is about to dish out to Barber but I really wanted to put Felix Jones down. I also fought with Cherilus in Round 2 but had to go the RB route because I passed in round 1.

I realize King didn't have a very good year performance-wise, but his physical ability's going to get him drafted in the first day.

I still think he is going to have more pedestrian numbers during work outs then people think causing him to fly just under the radar.

I am curious hos do you not think marten, mcquistan and free can play?

I am all for bringing in o-line and d-line at anytime though, and if flo walks We will need another tackle so that would be a great pick.

I think some are forgetting how big marten is. He is almost as big as flo in person! His arms are very long. I think he is a guard in the future, but who knows.

I think he'll run in the 4.3s as people expect and if he actually measures in at 6', I think that'll land him somewhere in the first half of the 2nd rd. Do I think he deserves to go that high? Not really. But I predict that a handful of GMs will drool over those numbers.

I actually like all 3 of them but I never get out of shape over another O-lineman because I think that is THE key to winning football. The better your OL is the better chances you have to be scary good.

It's just about value. Where would we us Curtis Johnson given we have Ware, Ellis, and Spencer? I don't know, but if he's there in the 4th grab him because he can play.

My next Mock will probably ignore OL and go heavy on CB, WR, and RB.
