I'm with you, there is no way anybody that says he is a third round prospect at best has watched his line of work. Brandon Flowers is a very good corner and has played and shutdown some very good competition. Not to mention the fact he hits like a safety and isn't afraid of contact at all. He may not be the best corner in the draft this year, I wouldn't know for sure because I didn't see all of the other guys tapes; however, i'd guarantee nobody else here has either.

You may think he's a first round talent, but the bottom line is that there are 8-10 better corners in this draft and it pushes him down pretty far.

If he says that Flowers is a 3rd rounder, then that's the end of the argument.

Don't bother with Kiper or Mayock, or even Goose...........if you want the real scoop, just come to this board and ask thegoat. He will set you straight.
Unless of course Mrs Cowgirl tells us he's a first round pick, then he must be a first round pick.

Nope. It's not clever when I do it either.

I'd take Mike Jenkins from Univ of South Florida, he's a stud... He can cover the slot just as well as the outside!

For what it's worth, I've been hearing a lot of good things about Flowers lately. Personally, I know very little about him, but many of the so-called experts like him quite a bit.

Bottom line is that it's YOUR opinion there are 8-10 better corners and your opinion is not the bottom line. There are 8-100 experts out there that get paid 10x your yearly earning making a living evaluating talent that disagree with you, that pushes you down pretty far.

Originally Flowers was given a 2nd round grade by the NFL Advisory Committee. I think he probably has been underrated up to this point, but I'm not ready to say he's the best CB in the draft. I'd take him before guys like Porter, Thomas, and Jackson, and probably Talib. So I guess he ranks around 6th for me right now. If he runs a 40 in the 4.3s, as he supposedly can, then he's going to be a lock for the first round.

I dunno but you'd have to make about 10,000 dollars to have any of the analysts make 10 times as much as you. Somehow I imagine you're a little better off than that.

lol, way to change the focus from the subject at hand.

I don't know what you make and I really don't care. Point is a majority of these guys have a background in talent evaluation, have worked for NFL teams and/or get paid to evaluate talent. If they make 10.00 a year or 100,000 a year it's that much more then you get paid to do it and they get paid it for a reason.

Really? Asking you to back up your own statement is changing the focus?

How bout this -- number of cornerbacks taken in the first two rounds in the draft:

2007 - 6
2006 - 8
2004 - 7
2003 - 8
2002 - 4
2001 - 8
2000 - 6

Would you like to be wrong about anything else today? If so, keep talking.

Care to provide a link for those numbers considering I already posted the REAL numbers?

I'm just curious as to what makes you think your opinion holds more water then someone who has a long history of evaluating talent, get's paid to do it and has spent more hours doing it then you have spent watching football in general.
