Hillis v Schmitt
Both put of 26 reps of 225 which was tied for 3rd among FB's 2 guys put up 30. Johnathon stewart put up more weight than both of them. I felt this would be a good thread to debate the top two full backs in the draft and see how the compare so far its even maybe the 40 time will be what it comes down to. I didn't get any of their measurements like arm span and stuff but if any has that gladly post it.
HIllis or Schmitt who is better

Ya, we haven't had an 800 post FB debate yet this offseason. This will be fun.

Schmitt is the more physical of the two, a real throwback type... now, Hillis is no shrinking violet his own self, but Schmitt is bigger and a tad more hardnosed...
Hillis' advantage is that he's considerably faster (4.55 to 4.8, on most of the draft websites, but they'll be giving us an official time soon), the better threat as a runner and receiver... indeed, some sites have suggested he might fare well in a single back offense as a lead runner, but I don't know about that...
I really like Schmitt, he kinda reminds me of the Moose, but one Metroplex mediot has said the Boys really like Hillis... and he'd be OK with me too, second choice here isn't too bad... sorry I can't recall who wrote that, but I did read it...

I don't think we're drafting a FB.

Thank You Michael. We have way bigger needs than to use anything higher than a 6th round pick on a FB.
With Fasano and Curtis on the roster we're much more likely to use one of them than one of the full backs we have or would draft.

I'm sure you didn't think we were drafting a TE in round 2 in '06 either.

Well that turned out to be a mistake. Do we do it twice in three years?
We need wins, and that's all we need. I don't give a damn about anyone on this roster over wins. I'd trade Ware, Lee and Dez if it meant more wins.

We were going to a two TE base set in 2006 so TE wasn't totally unexpected.

Well, the 2-TE explanation wasn't really "revealed" until after the pick.

Or used, for that matter.
I don't care what anyone says, taking a TE in the 2nd round is stupid, regardless of whether you're running a 2-TE set or not.
I think just like the Bobby Carpenter pick, it was another situation of Parcells falling in love with a guy. You can find a TE in FA or in later rounds to be the 2nd TE. Fasano has caught how many passes in his career so far? Not to mention he failed as a lead blocker. It was a dumb pick.

Bill Belichick doesn't agree with you.

By the way, Fasano plays about half of our offensive snaps.
