Colt's biggest problem is his age. He won't be ready to play in the league right away like most QB's coming out of college, but he's already 26 years old.

During the senoir bowl reports were he struggled a lot with arm strength and NFLN showed footage of him throwing routes in 7-7.
He indeed struggled to make all the throws and his mechanics were terrible. Not to mention he lacks height that would allow him to compensate.
In all fairness we are looking at Ken Dorsey from Miami, Fl a few years ago; great college QB, but not enough skills for the NFL.

Depends on who does the questioning.

Not that it's a big difference, but he'll be 25 in August, not 26.

Oh come on! This is getting ridiculous. Quit making blanket statements that you have absolutely NO credibility on. He measured in at 6'2 and 3/8 which is fractions taller than our own Romo, the same height as JD Booty, and a 1/2 inch shorter than Brohm and Henne. Second, his mechanics were fine, it's his 3/4 delivery that could be conceived as a problem, he has quick feet and good pocket presence with some escapability. This is getting tired.

His delivery makes him even shorter something Parcells had David Lee change in Romo because he stated every pass will be knocked down.
Could it be you do not know what you speak of?
or
Maybe Parcells was wrong as well?
BTW, Romo also has a much stronger arm the ole Noodle arm boy Colt....

Romo and Henson at the same time? It sure didn't help Henson. No wonder Lee left. Anyway, regardless of your ignorance and learning your expertise from the senior bowl highlights, here are his career stats. -
Year GP Comp Att Yds Comp % TD INT
2003 DNP - - - - - -
2004 JUCO - - - - - -
2005 12 350 515 4,301 68.0% 35 13
2006 14 406 559 5,549 72.6% 58 12
2007 12 359 510 4,343 70.4% 38 17
Totals 38 1,115 1,584 14,193 70.4% 131 42
Of those 1584 passes, less than 25 were knocked down at the LOS. This year was the most with 12.

Dude I go to La Tech, and I went to the Sugar Bowl. When we played yall this year Colt didnt look too hot against our average D. Then in the Bowl he got destroyed by Georgia. When the backup went in he did much better against the same D.
I am also very surprised that no one has mentioned Brennans questionable character issues. He was a thug at Hawaii.

Impressive stats. No doubt. Against extremely inferior competition. Brennan, in all honesty, reminds me of another Klingler or Clint Kingsberry, and some others who put up out of this world numbers for their careers and then didn't translate to the pros.
I mean I could be proven wrong by Brennan, he might wind up really good, but I'm afraid that you seem a little too much like a homer, in regards to fandom of him and his team, for me to take anything about what you say on him as totally unbias.
I hope the guy proves me wrong, I'd like to see everyone one day make it big who comes out (I don't ever wish a bad career on anyone) but I just have a feeling that he's going to wind up being someone who never really does much.

I dont know what the total was but I do know that he has added quite a bit of weight since after the bowl game cause they were pretty worried about him being way undersized (At one point I believe he was playing at 185) for a QB at his height. 6'2" is not a short guy, I don't know where people got the idea he was necassarily short, but 185 at 6'2", for the average person is great, but for a QB...that seems like a really small frame just made for beating up, badly, in the pros.
But, again, the kid could be tough as nails and be able to really take a beating.

Yes. But that is a one game beating. I'd be more concerned about a potential 16 game beating that a frame like that would take in the Pros.
Like I said that beating against Georgia maybe an indication that he is tough and can take one, but I'd be very concerned if he'd stayed at the 185 range. Apparently, however, he put some weight on, hopefully more muscle, to help take those sort of beatings.

The NFL measures the ball speed (mph) for quarterbacks at the Combine. That would show Brennan's arm strength.
