why would you want to pass up one of the top cb's in this draft to get an extra 3rd rnd pick?
we need quality, not quanity

Would rather due #28 for #33 and #58.
I would do that, but I don't think the Dolphins are dumb enough to trade a second rounder to move up five spots late in the first round.

No way we don't draft a WR or CB in the first.

i would only trade the 28th but that might not make sense for the dolphins. in any case, as much as i like jar jar charles, i wouldnt touch him until the late 2nd or early 3rd round. first pick needs to be one of the top 5 corners. the second first pound pick should be another top 5 corner if he is still available or the best wide receiver who is deserving of a first round selection. 2nd round should be the best running back available, hopefully chris johnson, if not, ray rice, jar jar charles or kevin smith, although i think you could pick up kevin smith in the 3rd but why risk it.

In that mock we could have had Mike Jenkins at #22 and then James Hardy at #28.
I would love that first round!

The move down is too cheap when Mike Jenkins is there. I don't even want Felix Jones in the first let alone Charles. Both those guys are second rounders at best imo.

On the value chart, I think that is actually pretty close if it was #28. That 2nd rounder is #32...what would usually be a first. And the third rounder is the top of 3.

Now taking Jamaal Charles in 1....that'd be a poor decision.

Drafting Charles in the first round would be a terrible decision.

I can't see Dallas trading a 1st round pick and not getting a 1st or 2nd round pick for next year thrown into the deal.

Right! It is very doubtful that Cromartie or McKelvin will be there at # 22 but if they are you have to take the one that is available because he won't be there at # 28. Then if BP's guy is still available at # 28 trade with him then.

Yikes. That would be an awful start to the draft.

This is a pretty terrible trade they devised.

There is no motivation for miami to move up to grab brohm, definitely not up to 22.

Star it's an interesting thought.

I'd actually strongly consider that with Miami.

But I wouldn't make that selection with #28.

Actually, if the deal was right and the valued players were off the board for us at the positions we were looking for at #22 and #28..

I'd trade down with both our #1's and do trades similar to this.

If there is as much deep talent after the 1st rd. as many are saying, I'd definitely think we could pick up as many as 5 more picks in the 2nd and 3rd rounds for our two #1's to go along with our own picks in those rounds.

That would let us rule the deep rounds and pluck alot of talent at affordable prices.

We don't need starters, what we need is quality depth that could be starters in the next year or two. and to take some snaps in the meantime.

I'd trade them both and grin as long as our scouts really had rds. 2-4 dialed in and we had picks at the tops of those rounds to play with plus our own.

Buffalo did suck and nobody, I mean nobody saw Derek Anderson playing as well as he did.

I would do the same thing this year again. Trade #28 for somebody who could stink next year for their 2009 first. Dallas needs quality right now, not quantity.

Actually I read somewhere else that Miami wanted our 22nd pick if Lb Dan Connors was still on the board. In return they'd give us both their 2nd rounders. Frankly such a trade only makes sense if Cowboys don't see anyone they interested in being available -- doubt that would happen unless all the good CBs are long gone, etc. If Cromartie or Jenkins still undrafted when we on the board with our 22nd pick, you better believe we should draft Cromartie there.
