We really need to draft a young elite CB.

I LOVE Boldin, but not worth 2 first. Not even close.
Most i'd give is #28. And if they REALLY pushed it a 2nd day pick. But doubtful i'd even do that. One first rounder is plenty.

so if we don't win the super bowl and i doubt we will with hte addition of ty law we are now screwed and have no prospect no RB's and nothing to build on next season. While your at it why don't we pick up Jevon Kearse and what ever other old past their prime bums is other in FA. Then trade for a big time QB cuz yo know Tony Romo might get hurt.

What did I do to deserve this thread?
We need wins, and that's all we need. I don't give a damn about anyone on this roster over wins. I'd trade Ware, Lee and Dez if it meant more wins.

The problem is that I think Law stills wants starter money at the CB position, and I don't think we're going to pay a CB on his last legs that type of money.
If he were looking for a more manageable contract, then it might be different.

As much as Im against Pacman, I would rather him then Law. Law is nothing but a band-aid. A worn out band-aid at that. He might hold over for a bit but will end up falling off before you want him to.
Pacman has like a 3% chance of changing his behavior. If he was able to, he'd be a great value player for the team. Low contract and decent production.
But, Im still in favor of drafting a CB. Hopefully Rodgers-Cromartie but Cason is starting to interest me more and more. Any but Talib I suppose because while he is an absolute AMAZING ATHLETE, I just don't think he has the ability to recover from mistakes he might have. Other then that, I think he could have a bright future. Great Athlete and can make plays on the ball probably as good as any CB in this draft, seeing how he was thrown in at WR last year and produced.
Still though. Not sure I can get over him being a little bit of a gambler and not being able to make up for it. Also, I believe hes a little tentative at tackling.
Not that I wanted to turn this into a bash Talib post or thread but just kind of how I feel about the CB situation right now.
Looking at who the CB dallas picks up has to replace, it really shouldn't be too big of a problem. It would be less of a problem if better play could be gotten from Roy and if Zach can hold down his spot like we all hope.
I guess to wrap this up for about the 5th time.
No Law. Hes antiqued and wants to get paid like hes aging like wine. And hes not all that big. Not that it really matters but I thought I would throw that in there. You think football players, you think they would be bigger guys, even the smallest ones but I saw him all suited and booted in an Airport a few months ago and he just wasn't what I thought he would be.
Draft em' Get the youth and pay half the price. I suppose FA wouldn't be bad for a 4th corner.

I would like for Cowboys to sign him at a reasonable price (3 mil dollar deal) trade a 4th Round To Titans for the rights to pac man and draft Cromartie in the first then we would be down pack at conerback w/ anthony henry, terrance newman, ty law, dominique cromartie, pac man jones, cortney brown (if needed at conerback but he will take over for KD)...
Sounds great.

This is a team who is battling several major injuries to
key players including Pro Bowl talents like Lee, Austin, Jenkins, Murray,
Carter and Ratliff. Other key starters missing include Costa, Smith, Church and
Coleman. That is 11 key players - that's half the starting lineup. Yet we still went 8-8.

There are over a hundred free agents unsigned. Should the Cowboys try to sign them too???

Dallas will not trade both of its first-round picks for neither a pro nor college 'big time wide receiver'.

Who is Tyson Thomas? Is he on Tyson Thompson's My Circle plan?

Hell no. Ty Law went up against Father Time and Father Time won.
