TSN Draft Guide out
Usually they are one of the first (if not the first) one out, this yr they delayed it almost a couple of weeks, which had me thinking it would be better than their usual product.
I was wrong. Honestly it looks like something where somebody threw darts at a board. I'm fine with everyone having their own opinions and defending them with legit arguments, but I dont think you can find any legit arguments to suggest stuff like Vernon Gholston being rated as a late 2nd rd pick...they rate Early Doucet as the 7th best player in the draft (yes, really) and rate guys like Limas Sweed and James Hardy as 3rd rd picks...Ray Rice isnt the 14th best player in the 2nd rd, let alone the 14th best player in the draft overall...they have Beau Bell rated a top-20 player...they threw DRC totally under the bus with some of their comments and have him rated as a 3rd rd pick...they rate Jake Long as a late 1st/early 2nd rd pick...John Greco (a guard from Toledo) is the 39th best player in the draft
seriously they should be ashamed, and they charged 8 bucks for it too

The draft is a crapshoot and just because they dont agree with conventional wisdom doesnt mean they are wrong. Boyleheart thinks Rice is the second best RB in the draft for example and as for the rest well just have to wait and see who is right.

I agree. I can see an argument for everyone of the above players with the exception of Jake Long.

you can see Vernon Gholston as a mid to late 2nd rd pick? you could see Early Doucet as the 7th best player in the draft?
yeah, ok...whoever those people are, I sure hope none of them are employed by the Cowboys

I can see Gholston being a late first rounder. His production was very suspect for 3/4 of a year. I think Doucet is one of the top 3 receivers in this class. Top 7 is bit of a reach, but I do think many people are undervaluing him.
So yes, I can see an ARGUMENT for them. I don't necessarily agree.
There is usually a significant discrepancy between the common perception among draft wannabes and actual scouts. I'm not sure why you've chosen to be so insulted by this, but it happens every year...and shouldn't be surprise.

Sounds like it is out of date...Just goes to show you that with the internet, these print publications are always going to behind in info and projections...No way they can incorporate all the incoming data of the time prior to the draft.

The TSN draft guide has been trash for a long time in my opinion. GMJR and DraftInsiders both do a better job (for more cash) on player evaluations but their mocks are pretty weak.

I think Lindy's is doing a much better job now that they got NFLDraftScout to do the mag
from their mag this year, and from the sounds of things, they're what TSN used to be, but of course, I would have to see the TSN one for myself

They had Doug Free has only going to be 3rd stringer in last years draft and if my memory serves me correct they said that Bobby Carpenter is great blitzer and ideal suited for the 3-4 defense. I have kept the last two draft guides and they been wrong about a lot of players.
