Johnny Cash fans...
There is an album out now by Billy Joe Shaver. This guy is one of the great song writers of all time. The Album is called Everyone's Brother. He does duets with guys like Marty Stuart and John Anderson and such. Well he has has one in which he did with Johnny Cash. What a great song. Go check out the album and you can probably find it on itunes.
But if you are a Cash fan you will really enjoy it.

2nd that CC. The station I listen too (KHYI.com), plays BJS regularly.
Just a FYI, it's Everybody's Brother. My favorite track on that CD is the one you're referencing I believe, "You Just Can't Beat ". It's a real toe-tapper.
BTW, do you know who Mark David Manders is? Better yet, ya know who his dad is?

Ughh, I guess I'll take that as a "no", 'cus surely someone of your age and perceived moral character, would never be impolite enough to just blatantly ignore a direct question. Then again....

Sorry for the long delay in responding.
You're right on the title. as far as Manders I am not familiar with him but since you asked the question I assume he might be related to Dave Manders who played for the Cowboys back in the 70's.
Am I close?

Yes, it has. IMHO, he just sounds like a poor man's version of Joaquin Phoenix impersonating Cash.

I picked this up and it is very good. Thanks. I had never been introduced to his music. Love that gravel in his voice.
Poke, Mark David Manders...is his dad Dave Manders, former Dallas Cowboy?
Edit...sorry, didn't see that was already asked and answered.

Been playing the one with John Anderson pretty regular on my radio show. Got a lot of good feedback on it. I'm working on getting an interview with him for the show.
