I like Rice. He would be a very solid, dependable, but unspectacular guy to have in the rotation.
The highest I would take him is late Round 2, but prefer Rd 3 if by chance he was there and we had not taken a RB yet.

I have no problem with taking Ray Rice...if we trade down into the 2nd round.

Rice at #28 would be stupid since NO ONE has him rated as a 1st rounder!
He COULD be on the board with our 2nd round pick, although we might have to trade up a few spots to ensure he's there, but using a 1st on him? that's not good business!

This too, made me laugh. Not that Rice is bad, but the way this guy is....oh nevermind.
Leadership is getting someone to do what they don't want to do, to achieve what they want to achieve.

No one is going to cosign Rice in the 1st round.
I like Rice, a lot. But he's not a 1st round pick.
We need wins, and that's all we need. I don't give a damn about anyone on this roster over wins. I'd trade Ware, Lee and Dez if it meant more wins.

I never would have figured you liked Ray Rice. This support comes as a complete and total shock to me.

I am with. I love Rice. The guy just has great vision and moves to gain yds. Nothing fancy but he will be a very solid starting back for someone.
I worry about all those guys with "speed" or "home run threat" but works out of gimmick college offense.
Give me a 5yd average and be the back that EVERYONE is trying to stop for 2 yrs.....I'll take that every time.
Trade down a bit and pick him up early to mid 2nd.

Ray Rice is the #1 rated RB on my top 350.
Someone is going to nab him as early as the 20's. Remember that RB's tradionally fall in 1st. Ask Stephen Jackson! There are going to be a few of these top 5 Kiper type RB's looking all goofy bug eyed as 2nd round winds down and no phone calls.

Ray Rice is okay, but there's a lot of other guys I'd rather have. I could also do without everyone comparing him to Emmitt.
