Default I Need Help!

How's that for a headline?

Anyway, If I were to buy a movie on ITunes (The Natural) which is an option as well as rent, could I then burn the movie to DVD, or is that protected?

Why dont you just get NetFlix? I mean you have to wait a day or two but you have the actual DVD on hand and you can rip/store/burn.

Well, I just assumed that the movie Netflix rental DVDs were write-protected w/ anti piracy software. Surprises me that this isn't true or can be overcome. I've had Netflix in the past...good service but presently I have the everything pack from DISH (beats the other guys ,BTW) and have also been using Itunes heavily of late, so adding another entertainment item is kinda excessive, or redundant.

Anyway, I found a 2 disc director's cut copy online for 17 bucks and it should be here any day.

DVD43 will strip copy protection off almost any DVD out there...

You then use HandBrake to convert it to mp4 or almost any other format out there...

I've copied dozens of movies from NetFlix with these two apps...

The bad thing is that DVD43 and HandBrake are completely free...

That's interesting. Very much so...Thanks

Funny story: when I first got Sirius digital music w/ my DISH service, I recorded hours and hours of music in prep for a long road trip, only to find after the fact that they prevent the end user from doing just that.

It was a long trip chock-full of country, gospel,Spanish talk radio, and static
