This is very late, but there are full episodes of both The Second Coming and The Butterfly Effect from last night on NBC.com:

I'm a big DC, Marvel and partial Dark Horse fan. Watch the show. It has a low-key graphic novel feel to it. Even if you have missed the first two seasons, you'll love it. Each season is a new storyline. However, if you want to catch up, some previous seasons' highlights are available on NBC.com and the DVDs are on sale pretty much everywhere.

Figured you was an Xman fan due to your username.

As far as trying to get into it now...I really doubt you could without seeing the first couple of seasons. Might be better to see them on DVD instead of trying to jump in now.

Heck I was watching last night and swear some things had changed, only because it has been close to a year since they had an episode but it seemed like things did not match up from how they left it.

They're everyday people. With powers. Although some are insane.

PS Batman's not pompous.

Funny you should mention Aquaman. I've always wondered how a fight between him and Namor the Sub-Mariner would turn out.

My money's on Namor.

DC Comics had revamped Wonder Woman's image and abilities a great deal since the 70's/early 80's. She can even go a round with Superman now, mostly since they de-powered him a lot during the Crisis of Infinite Earths storyline back during the mid-80's. He can no longer move planets or run/fly faster than The Flash or hold his breath indefinitely, etc., etc.

I guess the main reason why I got hooked on DC was because I started buying those titles first. It wasn't until a year or so later that I started concentrating on collecting more that the one or two Marvel titles each week, why still grates on my nerves. There were a few issues of The Uncanny X-Men which I had just missed out on, like the introduction of Ororo Munroe. My collection of the Uncannies starts when Professor X puts together his new team of her, Logan, Thunderbird, etc., so there's a gap there that I regret not having.
