2004 Most accurate pollster has it a 1 point race
IBD/TIPP Tracking Poll: Day Eleven
Posted: Thursday, October 23, 2008
McCain has cut into Obama's lead for a second day and is now just 1.1 points behind. The spread was 3.7 Wednesday and 6.0 Tuesday. The Republican is making headway with middle- and working- class voters, and has surged 10 points in two days among those earning between $30,000 and $75,000. He has also gone from an 11-point deficit to a 9-point lead among Catholics.

McCain is winning 18-24 year olds in this poll by 50. Wow. He's really making headway there.

I love all these polls the McCain guys throw out there to prove the race is tightening with totally ridiculous internals.
Like the AP poll that showed Obama with a 1 pont lead......almost 50% of the poll was Evangelicals.
This poll showing McCain winning the youth vote by 50
Kinda sad that the only way to make the race look close is to "cook the polls", but whatever.

there is no way a poll changes 10% in two days
why would someone earning 30-75000 vote Republican?

that is so weak it is pitiful
really, take that Joe the Plumber guy, he is going to vote against wealth distribution even though he would benefit. how stupid is that?
Neither party really is for the little guy but one is more for them than the other.
I guess that book "what is wrong with Kansas" or something to that effect is true, for some reason, lower middle class Americans have convinced themselves Republican is the way to go even though their interests are more covered by the Democrats.

Maybe they just believe in working hard for it rather than having it handed to them.

Maybe because he knows that is morally wrong.

Taking from someone who earns it to give to someone who hasn't is immoral in my book.

I know there is no answer to it and it is more rhetorical than anything, but should one person have so much he could never spend what he has, while someone else lives on minimum wage?

It sure isn't the government's place to decide.
