If Henson starts, how conservative will ....
the gameplan be?
I'm guessing a LOT of J. Jones and trying to hit the short to intermediate routes.
I would think BP would want to limit how long Henson sits in the pocket as Chicago is bound to blitz Henson all day long. We'll probably have to keep a RB and TE to help block.

Go deep often and early. He can make the throws and he is eerily reminiscient(?) of Aikman in his accuracy. Go Air Parcells

One thing I have learned about Parcells is just when you think he is going to be conservative he will let it fly. I would not be suprised to see Henson throwing early and if it is working all game. Even if we lose and he has a subpar game but we see some bright spots Dallas fans will be encouraged.

I dont see BP as being someone who's gonna keep the training wheels on. If he decides Henson is ready to play I think he's gonna test him early and often (ala 30 carries for JJ in his return).

I wouldnt be surprised if he gets 25-30 attempts to be honest...and his arm strength is an asset, so they will want to take advantage of it by seeing if he can get the ball downfield on them...

I think it will depend on how Henson starts off, the more he shows early in the game the more they will open things up from him. Quite honestly I would not be shocked to see Dallas run play action bomb on the 1st play. Last but not least Ju. Jones is going to be key for Henson if Dallas can muster up some type of running game Dallas will be able to keep the Bears on their heals

There's no need to be conservative anymore. Find out what you got in Henson and JJ.

The two best drives we had Sunday were when we committed to the run - Once in the first half with Vinnie (missed FG) and then the last drive with Henson.
I think the last drive we saw against Baltimore will be a lot of what we see against Chicago.
If Henson can be as accurate with those types of passes again Thursday we will have a very successful Ball Control offense. He was about perfect with all of those passes. Perfect spot and great timing with his receivers.

That is what I would like to see as well.
But I DO think that tuna speaks the truth when he says he puts winning the game first over evaluation.
But I think the way you do...I want to see them let them open it up...see what he can and can not do, get it a nothing to lose mentality the rest of the season.

Chicago has a very good defense and a weak offense due to injuries...it would be silly to gamble on offense and give them opportunities...we'll play conservative, try to run JJ, and hope to win a close game....can we all say, JJ rushes for 100 yards, Henson passes for 250 and 2 td's, but we still lose and get in the top 5 for draft picks in every round....that's my perfect scenerio.
When you have a team on the brink of greatness, winning a few games can set the tone for the offseason and provide hope. When your team stinks, winning a few more games and ending the season at 6-10 would really suck when it comes to improving this team.

I don't think BP will have any problems letting Drew air it out. I just hope he starts him out slowly, with short to medium, high %age completion rate stuff. I think it's very important here to let him get his confidence up a bit before airing out any long ones. That said, I think he should do pretty well.
For the 1st time in MANY weeks, I'm very excited about watching this game.
When it's all said and done, we're going to know alot more about his arm strength and accuracy, not to mention all the intangibles he brings to the table. He probably won't have a great game, but I'd be willing to bet he shows us alot.

They gave up 200 yards against Edge last week. Of course we were pass happy against one of the worst run defenses in Cincy too.
Who knows what's going on in Parcells head, but I'm predicted a balanced attack. Parcells will want to see if Jones can bounce back from 30 carries. I suspect George will get more carries this week then last.
Probably 30-35 rushes and about 20-25 passes.

But we now have a legitimate threat in Julius...
No one runs against Baltimore... but had we had a semblence of blocking Julius would have had well over 100...

I haven't been this excited to watch our Cowboys on Thanksgiving for a long, long time. Watching Julius and Henson (hopefully) play is going to be great.
