Question Streaming Radio stations, iphone question.

Does anyone else here listen to any of the local sports stations on their iphone?
The only Dallas station I can listen to is The Fan 105.3. I would love to listen to The Ticket or ESPN 103.3. I can't seem to find these streams for the iphone.

I am able to listen to the ticket from my Samsung i760. I click on it in the browser just as if I would on a PC and it works.

Try this link http://theticket.com/listen.htm (navigate and click to listen) or this one http://www.streamaudio.com/stations/player/pages/index.asp?headertext=SportsRadio%201310%20The%20Ti cket&Station=KTCK_AM on your iphone. I am not sure if it'll work or what forms of media the iphone can use. If you know, and you REALLY need the ticket, perhaps I can help find you alternative solutions.

You might also want to try this location, http://www.streamaudio.com/site/Stat...px?location=56

The current link on the site requires your browser to be javascript complaint as well as have the ability to embed WMP. This is very bad compatibility wise for mobile devices.

I might have hit the jackpot...

Try this link on your IPhone
http://uni5.susq.streamaudio.com/KTCK_AM

Heres some alternative links:
mms://uni5.susq.streamaudio.com/KTCK_AM
http://1.uni5.susq.streamaudio.com/KTCK_AM
mms://1.uni5.susq.streamaudio.com/KTCK_AM
http://2.uni5.susq.streamaudio.com/KTCK_AM
mms://2.uni5.susq.streamaudio.com/KTCK_AM

All of them should work MMS is if you have windows media player, HTTP is if you dont...

If you cant get the HTTP file to do anything and it loads a blank white page. Save it, rename and add a ".pls" to the end of the filename. Then you should have a direct link to the ticket off your pc/pda.

Thanks, I tried it but no luck. Iphone will not play wmp.
I know there are a lot of radio stations making their streams available to iphone. I hope The Ticket becomes one. For now I will listen to The Fan when I'm on the go.

Hmm, even the HTTP one doesnt work?

I tried it on a PC without WMP but Winamp and it worked. Also tried that link off my PDA and it worked too, but it loaded in WMP.

Heres my last shot idea, whatever media player you have on the IPHONE it should have an open location or load URL in the options right? Just type the HTTP link in that open location/url place.

Yeah, typing the url doesn't work in the safari browser. I can get to the ticket just fine but when I try to open the listen live link it just won't work. Hopefully they will get it working soon.....

WunderRadio for iPhone is what you're looking for.

Bingo. This app is sweet. It's like having Sirius built into your phone...but better.

Is there anything like this for other kinds of smartphones? I have a Treo and would love to be able to get streaming radio over it.

You Should get an FM Transmitter for your vehicle too so you can listen to it in your vehicle.

If you have an AUX input you can listen to it that way also.

I'm sure there are. Click here - http://www.palm.com/us/products/phones/ and then click software.
